I believed I had been given a promise from God that my husband would join me in faith, and we would be of one mind. It seemed God was giving me signs. But was it truly a promise from God, or was it my imagination?

I was sufficiently convinced. So, I decided to believe the promise in faith. But would the promise come to fruition? It was crazily impossible. It was as impossible as parting the red sea!!

    Oh Ann, I am so excited!! I have ordered my copy in paperback because I am a sucker for books in traditional book form – but I have to wait until 21/4 for delivery! I may cave in the meantime and get it on kindle as well 😆

        Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou Ann!
        I did it, I caved and bought the kindle version and read it all yesterday 😆.
        I think at the beginning I thought the book would be about the journey to seeing your husband saved (bringing with it all the emotion and questions of someone still waiting for that in her own life). To be honest, by the end of the book that part seemed more like a sub-plot (not to diminish God’s faithful work in your precious man – how good is God?!). Perhaps rightly, the main storyline in all our lives should be our journey and intimacy with Jesus.
        Thankyou for sharing your bewildering experiences of hearing from God, and giving real and raw accounts of how crazy that sometimes has made you feel! But also the wild twists and turns as you see His words play out in ways greater and much more intricately planned than you (or I!) could have ever imagined.
        I’m left with lots of thoughts and questions swirling in my head and even a little sadness that I may have overlooked and doubted many of God’s words to me over the years. But I’m so encouraged, and feel a refreshing of my flagging hope, a reminder of the awe and wonder, anticipation and excitement I felt when my eyes and heart were opened to the reality and truth of the existence of a living and loving and powerful and interested God 23 years ago; a renewed determination and excitement to keep my eyes and ears opened and attentive to His words and direction, equipped with fresh insights into how to draw the threads of His guidance together; and perhaps a more grounded and strengthened faith that He is working, He is speaking and guiding, and, however His plans play out, they will be good and will keep us in awe!

          I KNOW Julianne, right???? I agree, the whole ‘husband’ part of it turned out to be a subplot, or a side issue, when I always thought it was the main issue! It was the main issue for me, but not for God. I’m shaking my head really…..

          Aggh, I’m so glad you read it!!! I could just imagine you caving and then being rooted to the spot all day reading it. I would have done the same! In fact, I have done the same with other books. Thank you for being my friend and cheerleader 🙂
