Barb Twigg here with another What I Know For Sure
GO with or without him
Barb, how do you know my story? Oh yes, been there, done that, and I confess there are times that I still do compare and cry out? But, you bring alive the Lord’s love for us, as well as how great of love that He has for our husbands in always pursuing him. Thank you, thank you for this encouragement this morning. How fitting for this time of year. Blessings to you as you go worship, and who knows, perhaps, the Lord will send someone by your house to see your husband while you are away. That is a wonderful prayer.
Martha we’ve been at it a long time! I’m just preaching to myself😇 have a wonderful Resurrection Sunday ✝️
Thank you! I needed this today.
what you shared is exactly what I’m going through.
Love you , Laurie
Amen, Barb! What an encouragement you are. I do want to acknowledge you for your patience and faith… Wow. I’m a relatively new believer. My husband is not but he does come to church with me and I’m so grateful for that. I will say, though, it still feels frustrating to me that he still doesn’t really “get it” despite going to church. And, I have to bite my tongue more times that I’d like to admit…. and, remember that God IS pursuing him, even if it doesn’t feel like.. I love watching your videos and receiving your wisdom. THANK YOU and blessings to you, Sister.
Resonate with you, Jill! You’re not alone.
Jill praise God that he’s going to church! The word of God is being spoken into him because it’s always alive and active! One day he’s going to quote a scripture without even having opened his own Bible! The simple fact he is going to church means that he respects you and supports you. Unless you are prompted by the Holy Spirit, Dont say a word! Let the Holy Spirit move in your husband! Blessings over your sweet marriage!
Thank you so much for your encouragement, Barb! My situation is that my husband will go to church (if he’s not working) but it’s only for appearances. He claims to love the Lord but does not pursue following him day to day. Every time we’re together in the church I hurt and I pray that his eyes and ears will open to the love of Christ. It’s painful and sad for me to see him going through the motions without a holy heart posture. It truly breaks my heart because I know what he’s missing out on without relationship with the Father. Thank you for the reminder that God is pursuing him. I know this to be true, but needed to hear someone say it out loud. Bless you and have a Spirit filled Easter this year!!!
Tessia it’s awesome that he goes to church with you. You are one of the few that has a husband willing to go. I’m going to counsel you by saying. Don’t count out “making an appearance only”. The Word of God is alive and it penetrates the heart! My husband when he was younger, up until 8 years old went to church with his mother. That’s all I know, he said “never got anything” but there have been an occasion or two that I’ve caught him repeating a “bible story” of sorts and I chuckle! Because I’m convinced that when the Word of God is spoken out loud it penetrates the heart even if they are not paying attention! That’s why in our spare bedroom with the door open I play the Christian radio station 24/7 on low volume but it can be heard! One day the Holy Spirit is going to blow through his heart and rock his world! I’m praying that for all of us!! Blessings to you and your marriage.
Thank you Barb for your videos. I just love how you spoke about the love of Jesus for us and how He pursues us. It encourages me to focus on His love and really contemplate it more. I appreciate how you don’t hide your vulnerability.
Much love,
Cindy
