Yesterday I turned another year older. And yesterday SUM turned 20!

Each year now feels like a milestone as significant and amazing things occur year upon year. I somehow believed as I grew older, life slows and becomes easier. And in some ways it has. Yet, the ministry continues to support thousands who land on the site to discover there is hope in Jesus.

And in my personal life the last few years have been difficult/incredible.

I reflected yesterday much more than usual. And I thought about what to share with you as the blog and myself turn another year in the Book of Life.

I have one question to ask all of you who have walked through life with me. Some for years. Some for months.

Did you find Jesus here? Did you see Him honored among the writers on the blog? Could you see Him reflected in my imperfect life?

Did you find hope in His truth?

I pray you are greatly encouraged here at SUM. I truly, honestly, love you. I’m not a celebrity. I’m an ordinary, flawed but completely sold-out Jesus freak. I hope you become what I am.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUMITES! You are all amazing warriors of God. I will always pray for you.

Lord Jesus, reveal yourself in greater measures. Walk us through the trials and bring us into a place where we see your miracles every day. In Jesus name, we ask. AMEN

    Happy birthday! And happy birthday, SUM! I have always felt continually refocused on Jesus by SUM, and it’s one of the main reasons why I remained married. While the future is uncertain, Jesus is not. Praise Him for that.

    The earliest post I found from myself to SUM was 2012, yet I’m sure I was following before that. By God’s grace and these posts and your love, encouragement, guidance, wisdom and prayers along my journey, I’m married almost 30 yrs!

    I sweet memories meeting at your home a few yrs back and will forever cherish that long personal hug of gratitude and grace, at your front door. I love you and this community with all my heart, soul and mind.

    What I thought was my trial by fire, my very very difficult marriage, has been the only way God drew me to Himself and taught me all about who He is and who I am, in Christ.

    With God, all things are possible!

    I celebrate with you on your natural birthday, as well as 20 years as a Sumite here, having arrived on this site in 2011. Ironically it was my daughters saying to me, “You don’t respect my daddy,” you know the two I sacrificed to bring them up spiritually alone.” But thanks to my two “Judas” daughters, God turned me around to began the process of thriving, instead of just surviving, as the teachings, mentoring, pastoring, of Lynn and the writing team met me at the point of my need. Here’s to Blessings, and more blessings on this ministry.
