Hi everyone. This is Barb Twigg with another What I Know For Sure
Be Quick To Listen!
Yes and Amen Barb…,Thank you for these reminders. God created the universe in Genesis 1 ~ And God said….And God said….And God said ❤️ Eph 4.29 instructs us about words and to use words-Only helpful words for building others up, according to their needs and that those words benefit those who listen.
Our ‘Workbook’ has much to say about how we use our words. Especially our texting words. That’s in writing and cannot be taken back.
Keep it Shut by Karen Ehman explores what Our Bible says about the many ways we use our words and the times we are to remain silent.
Everyday we need to pray PS 141.3 Set a guard over my mouth Lord, keep watch over the door of my lips. 🌻
Oh yes and amen!!!
Barb,
Thank you for sharing real examples of where the Lord and our Workbook, reveals areas where we are misaligned with truth and righteousness. It’s humbling. Thank you. What we speak over our husbands really matters. I adore you.
Always a good word. !!!
Amen! Words really matter! And we are always learning 😇
Twice today, I have heard a teaching on what the power of our words can do. God must be trying to tell me something. Oh brother, you have given some real-life examples, and I had to chuckle at the couple of times you were caught red-handed. No offense. My rule of thumb I tried to keep about not bashing my husband in groups has been “Don’t tell anything about him. One of these days, he is going to walk into the church doors, and I want him to walk in with a clean slate, and not what Martha has told about him.” That has helped me in church groups. Now, about those one or two girlfriends, well—-can’t help but blow off some steam sometimes. Barb, I love your name for the Word—our workbook! You bring it down home to us each time you speak; so enjoy listening to you.
