Mr. and Mrs. Keith Silva
I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;
turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. – Psalm 17:6

My friends, this is a special day for me and my family. It's my oldest daughter's wedding day. For me it's also a testimony to God's faithfulness.

For years as I prayed over my girls, I have also prayed for the future men in their lives-for their future husbands. I prayed for men of integrity-godly men who knew Jesus and lived it out in their lives. I also prayed that God would prepare my girls and help them to be godly wives and helpers to their future husbands.

Today my daughter, Rachel, will walk down the aisle with this young man, Keith, who started "courting" her six years ago and is more than I prayed for or imagined. God answered my prayers far beyond my expectations. He is so good to this praying mama.

I'm so excited to see these two start their lives together. Already they exhibit the love and respect for each other as God intends it to be. I am so very proud of both of them and will now continue to pray for them to be united in their marriage and to love and respect each other as Christ tells us in Ephesians 6. 

So, rejoice with me, my Sumite family. Besides seeing my daughter and son-in-law speak their love and unite as one in marriage before family and friends, nothing gives me more joy today than sharing it with you.

I treasure and love you all so very, very much. Thank you for sharing this special day with me!

    Rejoicing with the Miller and Silva families this weekend.
    Lord Jesus bless greatly these families today as they are united in love.
    Let Rachel and Keith always remember this day through good times and bad. May their wedding celebration hold memories and answers to all they will ever need in their future life as one together.

    What a beautiful couple, praying God’s blessings for them as they begin their life together as one. Since Lynn’s last post has been in my mind, I pray also that they will learn the importance of washing each other’s feet in humble forgiveness, as we must do so often in marriage!

    Congratulations mom… What a great testimony of the power of a praying mom and God’s faithfulness! I pray the same for my children and started doing so about a year ago after hearing a similar testimony from another spiritually single mom. I know that God honors ours prayers and I am believing the same for my children who are currently 16 and 13. Both have never dated yet and I pray for God’s divine protection over them as HE keeps them pure until marriage. Congratulations to Rachel and Keith. May they experience an outrageously happy marriage ahead full of many years of intimacy, love and respect. Abundant blessings always as you keep God at the center of your marriage!

    So happy for your family! How exciting to think of the amazing life our dear Jesus has planned for this young couple! I am so grateful for all the joy this union has and will bring to you, my precious friend and to Mike. What a privilege and blessing to witness a covenant marriage that joins Rachel, Keith and the Spirit of our loving Lord. May they walk in His presence all their days.     What a beautiful testimony to answered prayer! Congratulations! I have 2 daughters and pray for their soulmate to be! I feel it is so important to pray ahead of time for God to be preparing the perfect guy for our girls or the perfect woman for our sons! Blessings to them!

    Amen, Carolyn! I’ve even prayed for my girls when they dated someone I wasn’t sure about that God would change him or take him out of their lives. God did that too, protected them. He is so faithful!

    Congrats and God is faithful. I have the same prayers for my two kids as well. My daughter is getting baptized on June 22 she is only 13 and she is the light of my life. My daughter is following me in my walk with Christ and my son is following my husband in his atheism walk. What is interesting is my husband got baptized around the same age as my daughter, he now claims he didn’t know what he was doing. Go figure???

    HI Angie, as I read this, the thought crossed my mind that maybe it’s true, he didn’t fully understand that he didn’t know what he was doing, but God sure did. And God won’t let him go! I firmly believe that! And congrats on your daughter! Will your husband attend that?
