The women’s ministry at my church is currently studying Esther by Beth Moore. I adore her studies, but I will say that though her studies always impact me in a big way, none have affected me so profoundly as this one. I’d like to share some tid-bits from our last session. If you’ve ever done a Beth Moore study, then you know she has a talent for making profound statements. Here are few of them:


“There is no denial in courage.”


“Don’t deny the reality (of your situation), but it’s power over you.”


Then one of my favorites from Ambrose Hollingworth Redmoon, “Courage isn’t the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.”


Then in this powerful session about living without fear, Beth asks, “Can you imagine living without fear?”


I know I want to. How about you? Fear isn’t a part of God’s plan for out lives and his perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). So, it makes sense that the closer we stay to God, the less fear we will have in our lives, right?


Take some quiet time and explore these Scriptures.

    Don’t know if this will post. Fear is a such a stealer of our peace. I love the word picture you put with this post Dineen. Makes you see victory or envision peace, as courage becomes dominant. I look forward to meditating on those Scriptures.

    I agree so much with Caroline’s comment above. Fear does steal our peace. This 30 day journey so far has been amazing, but there has been a lot of fear in it for me too.
    Stepping off the throne in our lives is hard and scary. And the enemy does NOT like it. Even when I do step down I’m plagued with fear. My posts here for example – each time I send them off to Lynn to be posted I begin to be plagued with fears that maybe God is not really speaking through me after all. Maybe it is just me speaking words that I want to speak to draw attention to myself. The enemy knows just what our weaknesses are and knows just what lies to whisper into our ears.
    Dineen said it perfectly “So, it makes sense that the closer we stay to God, the less fear we will have in our lives, right?” The closer we are to Him, the easier it is for us to listen for His Voice and to ignore the whispers of the enemy.

    Good Sunday morning…
    So true Dineen…What would we do without Jesus….We look at Him and get courage..and know He is with us through everything and at the end…ALWAYS!!
    The picture of Him as my Shepherd gives peace…only need to follow.

    Without looking for it a preaching serie from TD Jakes came under my atention” Last night on the boat”….
    The more i listen to it the better it get….

    My saturday was LONG but well spend with my family…..( “kids soccer” early,family hair treatment day…lol…..shoppings in-between etc)
    My flesh was less fighting……and obstinate…)
    God is so good and graciouse to us we only need to look and see…
    Overhere is fallholiday now for 2 weeks….,so looking forward to this time….
