I just listened to the recording of my talk from the conference last week. All I can say is –I sound weird. No, I actually sound like my sister. Have you ever noticed that you never sound like what you “think” you should sound like?

One thing I know for sure, I would definitely use a mic and headphones next time. It was difficult to hear and the sound quality wasn’t as good as those who used the headset. So, for all of you who stayed tuned in to listen through the entire thing. A BIG thank you.

I am so thankful I had a chance to share my story.

I am so thankful God selected me for the privilege of marriage.

I am so thankful my husband is great with computers. He is going to completely rebuild mine this weekend while I am out of town.

Which leads me to…. I am thankful to be traveling with 85 middle school kids to Las Vegas for a band competition….. I think….

The Lord is good indeed.

    I never like to listen to myself talk – it sounds strange to me! And another strange thing is talking to someone on the phone but never meeting them in person and then one day you meet them in person and they are SO NOT like you imagined them. Weird huh?     How exciting you spoke at a conference. You did great!
    85 middle school kids is quite a challenge. Buy what fun to get to go on the trip with them This is a mile stone in each of the life. A time to remember. And be thankful for.

    Oh, Lynn, I am so with you… I DO NOT like to hear my voice recorded either! 🙂
    I love those husbands that know how to get the computers to work… mind can do all that, too, and has re-built more than one for me in the past. Love those “techie” guys! 🙂
    Enjoy the band trip. Mine kiddos aren’t old enought for those yet, but I remember many fun ones I had as a teenager. Enjoy!
    Thanks so much for the sweet, sweet comments and prayer you left on my blog last night/this morning. I can’t tell you how much they mean to me. You are a dear and can’t wait to meet you someday (even if it’s not until we meet in heaven one day).

    I think I sound kind of like a redneck when I talk, LOL! I don’t think anyone likes the sound of their own voice played back to them. I used to get Kristyn to do the answering machine messages back in the day, hah hah!
    You brave soul. 85 middle schoolers? Whew! I salute you, LOL! Seriously, what a blessing to be sheperding this flock. Have fun!

    I enjoyed your teaching at the AWI conference. I haven’t listened to the mp3 yet, but the sound sounded fine during your session. You are such an interspersion and I too am glad that you had an opportunity to share your story. Computer genius husbands are always something to be thankful for. I have one of those as well. I would be lost on this thing without him.

    I know we always sound weird to ourselves, but truly you have a wonderful voice. Also, I had no sound issues with your session.
    I am thankful to have sisters who can relate and encourage me in so many struggles. God is good.
    I am thankful that God illuminates truth to us as Mothers to teach to our children. I was just reflecting on a verse and the book series/movie Twilight in my familyblueprint blog. It made me realize how important it is that we seek God to help us discern what our kids are reading/watching and correct any misconceptions.

    Hi Lynn ~ I totally agree with how weird it is to hear your voice on a recording. Also, I’m very thankful to have found your blog, and although my marriage is not what I visioned it to be; I’m so thankful to the Lord that he will use me and my experiences in a mighty way if I allow him to.
