Hello SUMites! One of our readers shared this precious picture with us. I love that she sent this because now I can show you a picture of almost exactly what I described seeing in my post on Monday. I look at this picture and wonder what this little girl is hearing from Jesus. 

I can imagine He's telling her she is precious and loved and cherished, because that's what the Bible tells us. So beautiful.

Let's keep sharing ideas and stories of how we're teaching our children a Kingdom mentality. I wish I had understood this better when my girls were little-I wish I'd understood it better as a child myself! 

But now I'm getting it and I'm giving it away to my girls now and look forward to being the person in this picture one day, holding my grandchild and watching them worship God with me. I'm putting that out there right now as my dream. 

Thank You, Abba! Thank you that we can commit our hearts and dreams for our children to Your loving care. Thank You that You hold our children even closer than we can imagine or hope for. Thank You for choosing us to be their mothers and fathers. And thank You, Lord Jesus, that You watch over our children and have designed them with such great care to be a vital part of Your kingdom, on earth and in heaven. And we ask that Your will be done in their lives here on earth exactly as it is in heaven. Let their destinies in You be released and let nothing stop them as they walk in that truth. In Your name, King Jesus, amen!

    Thank you Dineen – exactly what I thought when I read your post – I am so looking forward to worshipping God with our Grandchildren – I feared for quite a while that our children might leave the fait but I see now their roots are not in me but in Jesus Halleluja and because of that, they will continue to choose the Lords ways – I too think, how precious to worship with our children – how precious to be able to worship with grandchildren – love Tamara

    Amen Neen! Our wishes don’t land on the ears of a Genie in a bottle but on the ears and heart of a BIG God who is uncontainable!

    On Sunday morning my kids go to their individual classes and I go to the service so our family worship time is almost always in the car while we sing along to the Christian radio station. It’s so sweet to hear my four year old daughter sing “Jesus take my all.” She may not really understand what it means but she sings it at the top of her little lungs. Or seeing my 10 year old son pick a Casting Crowns song over whatever pop song his friends are listening to.

    This is so precious. My two year old granddaughter grabs her microphone and sings “Oh, how I luv Deus.” I just love it; makes me smile from ear to ear.

    Oh my how sweet! My son isn’t saved however when I am in the car with my neice and nephew they ALWAYS turn up the radio because the only station I have on is the christian one! They go to church and a christian school, but their walk is not much different from the world. I hope and pray what they hear will help them to understand that you can have a close personal relationship with God, and that being sold out to Him is so much better than what the world offers. Now if I could get my own son to see it….

    Oh how I love this so much!
    My 2 year old got to go to church w his nana and papa who came to visit from Arizona this month and it brought such joy to my heart and theirs. My little guy has been dedicated to our church and attended several worship nights- all with my husbands support. He was there with us on his dedication and comes to church each week. All in Gods time…
    Such a beautiful post and delight! I will always hold on to:
    Proverbs 22:6
    Train up a child in the way he should go,
    And when he is old he will not depart from it.

    Love this! Love reading all your comments. Teaching God to our children is so important and seeing God in them is delightful!! I can’t say how many times God has worked through my children in speaking to me! One example I will always remember is one day how I was feeling down about life, my husband turning his back on God,etc. It just all was getting to me ! I was sitting at the computer and almost crying. My daughter who was 4yrs. old at the time was dancing around our living room to Kids Praise songs. She spoke up and said, “Mommy, Mommy! Do you feel that ??” I was like What?? She said, “I felt it! Jesus was holding my hand as I danced, He is holding us!”
    Needless to say the tears flowed when she said that, but they were happy ones, not sad ones anymore!

    Oh, I have been away a bit and I see I missed some great posts. This one touches a cord, because I have step daughters whose approach to spiritual things is similar to their father’s…lukewarm at best (that is will go to church but not interested in anything else spiritually). In the early days I attempted instituting family devotion on Saturday mornings but without keen support from my husband that faded away. I pray for the children all the time and long for them to open their hearts wholly to God. Their mother is deceased (I married a widower)and I know only God can fill the emptiness I sense they feel. I covert your prayers dear Sumite sisters and your thoughts on walking these waters. I must say that the youngest, has embraced Jesus, and at 6 years seems to have great insight about her ‘bestest best’ friend Jesus..That is encouraging and gives me expectant hope for the older girls.

    Esi, my friend, you are in such a delicate place. I can only imagine the challenges but how WONDERFUL that those children have you! And that little knowing Jesus already is a sweet blessing for you from God’s heart, I dare say. He never gives up on us and He won’t give up on those children. With every prayer you sanctify them, Esi. Even if you can’t see it, that’s powerful. Those girls are being prayed for!
