God has placed us into our marriage for many purposes. One of which is to refine our character. He puts us into the practicing school of persevering prayer so that our weak faith will be strengthened.

Consistent prayer life is essential for all believers. As I stated in my story, Pray a lot, prayer is my lifeline. I will never stop praying for my husband and I know that his salvation is in God’s perfect timing. Through prayer I have attained an earnest peace and my husband’s unbelief no longer frightens me.

Pray hard!!!

    Isn’t that so true? We don’t find that peace until we leave it all in God’s hands, and trust no matter how “things” may appear. To be released from that responsibility, one which God never intended for us to hold, is such freedom! I know it all is playing out just as God wants it to. That leaves me free to just love my hubby, just as he is.

    Pray works! And I think it’s also important to have your spiritual brothers and sisters in Christ praying for you and your spouse, too!

    hello – this devotional makes me think alittle. I have a thought to pass on:
    you wrote – my husbands salvation is in Gods perfect timing – I agree that God has perfect timing but I dont agree that we as humans follow His perfect timing. Example: I see in my life where God wanted me to submit in my early years but I didnt want to – He was too boring for me then – so ok – God waits and I finally came to Him -but….my life is also the harvest of what I sewed. I am not saying you are wrong lynn, I only see it differently. We were in Greece, and it was a absolutely healing, wonderful Christ-led Beach Camp Vacation for the entire family. The Lord spoke so cleary to my husband saying: where do you stand with Me? Where is My position in your heart? come to Me and submit your life to Me. And you know what my husband did? He simply walked away and told me afterwards: we are ridiculously fanatics and he has his own religion with God and doesnt need anything more in his life. And after this I was very sad. I had to think of Jesus how he cried too for Israel and I had to cry too for my husband. I do believe Gods plan is that we listen and love and obey Him and not push him year for year away – we can read that in the bible in every chapter: God called and most times the people didnt listen, fell down and had to cry for help and God always (usually) helped. but originally His plan wasnt that we suffer so much – we just dont listen. I think that is my deep sadness today: I really heard God myself these last 2 weeks and it is not possible that Jack didnt hear Him either: he just didnt want to listen. I am praying too to lay Jack in Jesus arm and bless him – but after this special vacation I am almost afraid that jack doesnt want Jesus and Jesus never pushes himself on us – we must be willing. the positive things that i have learned from this very difficult time is: God does speak and call the lost souls but He doesnt force anyone and ….that I pray and witness and lead my children ever so more in love and faith under the leadership of Jesus to Jesus. I hope these terrible fires havent hurt you Lynn and if something has happended to your home or your friends home may the almighty Father help you in all your needs and fears and work to rebuild. be blessed, I am so honored to know you even if only through the internet, Tamara
