God in His great wisdom raises up men and women who are willing to share from their hearts what God has done in their lives and marriages. I am thankful for their willingness to share, to encourage, and give honor to our King.

Meet our Guest Authors:

Nicole Neri: My name is Nicole Neri and I have been married to my high-school sweetheart for six years. I taught Junior High for two years before I became a stay at home mom. We now have a 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter, Brandon and Brooke. Four years into my marriage I heard God knocking on my heart and I opened the door. That was when I reluctantly enrolled at Unequally Yoked University.

Although I’ve experienced deep growth I’ve anxiously awaited my graduation date. I’ve envisioned many far off kingdom adventures working side by side with my husband sharing the love of Christ. But recently I’ve embraced God’s whisper- He’s your kingdom adventure and you get to work side by side with me!

I live on a quiet street in a low-excitement suburb of Chicago – yet daily I get to partner with the Spirit and shine the light of Christ – it’s anything but dull! ~Nicole

Tami Boesiger: Tami shares her life with husband, Kevin, a Creative Arts Pastor and their four children in Beatrice, Nebraska. She considers her marriage God’s big miracle to her and has enjoyed being Kevin’s wife for 21 years. The two of them collaborate to write musical productions and skits for their church, some of which are sold on their web site, Distinctive Notes. Striving to be real and genuine in her writing, she candidly shares her struggles and asks the questions we all ponder, wanting people to see that being a Christian is not about being perfect or having all the right answers, but about living beyond our earthly existence. Tami keeps busy staying on top of her kids and all their activities, leading Ladies’ Bible studies, writing, singing in choir and worship team, playing clarinet and saxophone, lunching with friends and hanging out with her husband. Get to know Tami at her blog, The Next Step.

Dee Cuadrado is a born again Christian married to a wonderful Muslim man. She says, “I met and married my husband during a time of my life when I didn’t give much thought to spiritual matters. I had forgotten who the lover of my soul was. A couple of years into my marriage, I felt the Lord tugging on my heart and I could not resist HIM. I repented of my sins and I fell in-love with Jesus all over again. Shortly after this, the struggles of the unequally yoke began to emerge in my marriage. Thankfully the Lord has not left me hopeless. As I persist in prayer for the salvation of my husband, God’s Holy Word offers me continuous encouragement and heavenly promises that fill me with joyful hope.”

Angela Vandagriff: Married for 23 years but my husband and I have been together for 26 years. We have five fantastic children, one girl and four boys. I have three grand-daughters and one grandson. I cherish my family and I am extremely blessed that my husband just gave his heart to the Lord this year. I am a school bus driver and have been now for six years. I felt the Lord pulling me in a new direction so I gave up a very successful career as a hair stylist and placed me with 84 of the meanest and most unruly children in the county school system. I can say I doubted this career change. As always God knows what he is doing. My kids are such a blessing now and I see why God placed me there, their needs are so great. I also use horses as teaching tool to reach these hurting and angry children. I allow them to feel unconditional love and slowly they learn that love doesn’t have to hurt. I am praying for a farm of my own so I can grow and add more horses. I only have two so I am limited to the number of kids I can have at one time. We have a Cowboy ministry at our Church. We take children and teach them to ride and care for horses but most important we teach them about the word of God. My home is always open for anyone in need and my husband and I are praying to be foster parents. My desire is to live my life in such a way that others may see what the heart of Heaven is…Love. I purpose in my heart to love with out conditions and restraints. That is the way I feel God created me to love.
