17279092_sHello my dear friends! This week I'm working through my portion of the edits on our book, Not Alone (Lynn gets to do hers next week). I was so focused on this yesterday that I totally forgot to write a post for today! So sorry about that. I can't sit at my desk for really long periods right now either. Seems that nasty cold I caught before my daughter's wedding left me with a case of costochondritis. Sounds like an addiction to Costco, doesn't it? I wish. It's an inflammation of the cartilage of rib cage. No fun!

So this post will be short and sweet, but you know, some of the best truths we have from God are short and sweet, like my favorite, Romans 8:28.

I'm going to share a little story I've been saving. While Lynn and I were at the conference we spoke at in May, I was so impressed with all the work the ministry team put into every part of this conference. Even the decorations in the ladies room!

I said as much to one dear sister in Christ and she said this, "Well, you know what they say, God is in the details."

I don't know how to explain what happened next, but it was like the Holy Spirit jumped up and took over. You know how that happens when you say something you know didn't come from you?

What came out of my mouth was this, "And you know what the best part is? We're His details!"

Wow. I just love that! My friends, we are God's details. Abba spoke everything on this earth into existence, but us, He formed with His hands (like the potter!). Think about the love and care He took to do so, think about His heart for us, think about how all that translates into His desire to have a personal and intimate relationship with us, because, speaking as an artist, when I fashion something well, I take great pleasure gazing upon and appreciating my work.

God’s love is overwhelming! And this makes so much sense when you think of it in terms of Christ in us. God fashioned us from the very beginning to be vessels for His Holy Spirit.

Christ in us-God is in the details.

For the rest of this week, anytime a negative thought about you crosses your mind or someone speaks unkindly to you, I want you to stop and praise God out loud, "Abba, thank you that I am one of your details. Thank you for planning and forming me with such love and care" (Psalm 139).

Countering lies with His truth is our sword and God's love is the edge on that blade. So wield it!

    So true…we are details, made up of His details! It reminds me of the story about Lamilin (sp). It’s a cell with a molecular make up in the shape of a cross. How’s that for a detail? God is amazing!!!

    The past few days have been very, very hard. Have some family issues. Been battling overtime in the Spirit. This brought a smile to my heart and face. Thank you for continuing to share the Truth. And may your costco-condition be healed in Jesus name.

    I’m in awe when I think about how my Abba, Father has put in all the little details when He formed me in my mother’s womb and there is not one like me. L?ve it! I’m a detail of an AWESOME CREATOR! SPECTACULAR! ? ? ? ? ?

    Oh Dineen. Thank you for this post. It made me tear up. I’ve been constantly going before the throne, giving Him my worries, anxieties and fears. ( I tend to try and take them back) So reading this post made my heart happy. I LONG to find my happiness and joy in Jesus. I have to remember that even if my husband doesn’t think how I am is good. I know that God made me this way and He loves me unconditionally!!
    Praising my Jesus with all my heart.
    Praying for your Costco-condition to go away, it sounds really painful!! Thank you God that we have a direct connection to the ultimate healer!

    Aww, Carmen, I am praying for God to send you a special hug and affirmations today, that His love be so thick upon you, that you can actually sense and feel. Lord Jesus, I ask all this for Carmen. She is a very special detail in Your heart and in Your plan. Help her to see that and BELIEVE it even when circumstances try to tell her otherwise.     Awesome…and so needing to be reminded of this, so I can also remind my 11 year old daughter that she is fearfully and wonderfully made.
    I have never heard of Laminin!! Wowzers, makes you wonder how people can be so absolutely blinded to God when he is literally in every detail of life!

    WooooHoooooo! Spirit bumps…..BIG SPIRIT BUMPS!!! Not spoken into being like all the other creations, but thoughtfully,intricately, lovingly designed and created by the Most Holy Almighty God. And He doesn’t put out any second rate work. I am one of His details. He has blessed me in so many ways that I would think I was one of His favorite details, if He had favorites (teeheehee). I’ll be adding this to my Who I Am in Christ list. A detail. So, Dineen, not feeling well, pressed for time, I’d say you put together a rather amazing post. I think maybe God spent a little extra time when creating the Dineen Miller detail! Praying for pain relief right now and complete healing. In the name of our mighty and merciful Jesus.     Wow, now I have a new appreciation for details. You see, my husband is a very, very detailed person, and I definitely am not. It drives me crazy!! But,you have shown details in a new light. I love that!
    Could I just use this space to ask the group to pray for Eva, a young 35 year old woman in our SUM group at our church. Her husband was killed in a work related accident yesterday. They have three kids. It is just so heartbreaking.

    That was awesome Dineen, thank you so much for sharing your heart with us, and how you always point to the love of Jesus and God has for us. Boy, do we all, or maybe just I need a daily reverlation on of his love. I been thinking on that verse”perfect love cast out fear”. If I am going to walk in that truth daily I need a lot of help from the Holy Spirit. I also, speak out loud so every devil in hell can hear, I choose trust God and his goodness,perfect timing, his promises because He can’t lie, and that he loves me! Devil you are a liar. And God’s love is not based on my feeling of the day, or current situations. God is my helper ALL the time!!!!!! Dineen, I am praying that The Lord is healing your condition. You will see his strenghth and love through it all. Love you all hugs :)))

    Oh Martha! That is absolutely heartbreaking! I went into prayer as soon as I read this and will be praying for Eva all day. My heart just aches for her. I pray that in those final moments, this dear man met Jesus and was brought home. Praying for comfort and provision for Eva and her children. Feel free to post this our Facebook page so our community there can be praying for her. Love your heart, my friend. I know you will be a loving and encouraging Jesus presence to her in this time as well.

    Thanks for your prayers, Dineen. The good news is this: Eva always spoke so kindly of her husband and had said that he had accepted Jesus as his Savior. The reason she was in our SUM class is because he was from Mexico, and our culture and language made it very difficult for him to understand the bible and grow in the Lord. Thus, she had to do most of the spiritual training with their three children, and needed encouragement as we all do. But, he was trying so hard. Wonderful man.

    Just sent this to my best friend. She’s a professed atheist but with a very open heart, so open God often uses her to speak truth to me! She has said on several occasions she wished God would just come and show Homself to her on person.. Praying and believing just maybe, this is that puzzle piece she is looking for…

    Lord Jesus You are the only greatest comfort for one who endures such a tragedy and You are the only one who can deliver peace and strength during a time such as this. We pray in Your Holy and Mighty name Lord that Your presence will be felt by Eva and her friends and family who grieve along side her. I pray Your character is expressed through many who come into Eva’s path at this difficult time. I pray Your child, Eva will hear Your voice calling to her so that she will not slip far into grief. Let strength be regained one day at a time with You holding her hand and keeping her close. Thank You Jesus for ALWAYS being there with us in everything we need from You and especially healing at this time for Eva and her children.
