Day Three – The Promises Fulfilled

  Yesterday we approached the Alter. We surrendered our shame, guilt, our failures, our inadequacies, pain, disappointment, devastation ….. Our brokenness.  Listening to our Father today, I hear Him say…

Yesterday we approached the Alter. We surrendered our shame, guilt, our failures, our inadequacies, pain, disappointment, devastation ….. Our brokenness. 

Listening to our Father today, I hear Him say to me, “Lynn, you have stood upon my promises and have remained faithful. I cannot deny my own Word.” 

There have been many years in my past that all I had to grasp were God’s distant promises. But I held on to them. Sometimes shakily. Praying and willing myself to trust God’s promise, I would wake up at night and speak them out loud. I would repeat them over and over to myself. I remember a long season in my past where all I could do was to repeat, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can do all things… (Phil 4:13) This promise alone push me through many tough hours. 

His promises sustained me in the years of disappointment and disillusionment. What I’ve come to realize is that God wasn’t telling me “no” when it came to fulfilling His promises, He was preparing me to bear the weight of the glory when the promises were fulfilled. God used my struggles and my unequally yoked marriage specifically to mature my faith and develop my character. Why? So that I’m able to walk into more gifts and abundance and yet not steal His glory nor morally fail because of the treasures He has provided and is yet to provide. 

Clearly I heard the Lord say to our community, remind yourselves of who you are. And stand firm against the enemy and firmly on My promises. 

Here are a few promises that have been life-lines to me: 

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7 

I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. – Hebrews 13:5b 

Psalms 91 continues to be powerful for me. 

My friends, the Lord is preparing us for greatness. His Kingdom is rising on earth right now in a manner not seen since the time Jesus walked here. He is growing us, maturing us, loving us into a place where we can walk in wholeness, power and authority so that we can receive more and more of His glory. So that we can be people of God who bring His Kingdom to earth. 

I wonder, what promises from His Word are your life-lines in this season. And what promises are you speaking over yourself for your future? Share them in the comments and when the Lord reads these, it will move His heart. 

We are at the breakthrough part of our fast. Now, more than ever, it’s crucial to speak truth and promises over our lives and into our lives. Let’s let God’s Holy Word spring forth and change us, our homes, our communities and our world. 

My Holy and Blessed Child, 

You have labored hard under a mean and ruthless taskmaster. He has stolen much from you. But today, I am listening still as you claim my promises. I have told you that my Word does not return void. Your faithfulness will be My faithfulness and you will be vindicated, healed, restored and elevated. I am already moving.

Today, my Son Jesus, stands with the Keys to the Kingdom and He is releasing my angels to battle for you as your faithfulness has reached my ears. And I will now exact payment from our enemy and restore what the locus have stolen. There will be a great out-pouring and you, my child, you have faithfully walked with me and are now ready to receive all the grandeur I have prepared for you in advance. 

I will not leave you. I will not forsake you. I will cover you with My wings. Your faithful obedience compels me. I love you. I adore you. I am for you and not against you. I am the Ancient of Days and your vindicator. -The Lord God Almighty

    Here are a few scriptures that I am standing on. Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Malachi 3:6 “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I am trusting in God in areas that I have finally laid down at His feet. I recently read that hopelessness does not come from lack of things like money and out surroundings. It comes from not knowing God and His promises. (Kenneth Copeland) I cast out hopelessless from my heart today in the name of Jesus and pray you do the same. Amen.

    I am a IBC survivor (since 2009)…and some would have issues with Psalms 91:3 “For he will …protect you from deadly disease.” Yes cancer can be a deadly disease, but so does mouthing off at someone holding a guy to your head….
    I knew then and know now who my Healer is… Thus I can stand on Psalm 91:6 “Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness…” I did not then, and try to know now–always a possibility of re-occurrence, to not dread the disease… God uses the cancer to open the door to reach others…. even my husband saw how I dealt with IBC…and continue to deal with side effects of the treatment…
    One day soon I know I will no longer be unequally yoked!!

    I learned to tithe right after getting married–weak Believer at the time of my marriage, I was determined and I know the blessing because of my diligence in staying firm… at times I’ve explained to my husband/Dan why I tithe… once day he will understand..

    What a night I have had. I was on the night shift of taking care of my newborn grand baby. When she dozed off to sleep, I read your post. And so it was in the dim light of the babies’ room, I remembered promise after promise God has given me over the years, along with prophetic words. Just a couple of favorites: I will restore the years that the locust and cankerworm has eaten up; what was intended for evil, God meant it for good to save much people; all that has been spilled out against you has been for the futherance of the gospel.
    As far as prophetic words, there are many, some of which I am still waiting to come to pass. But I would encourage everyone to tape and write down prophetic words, so they are easily recalled.
    Thanks for a night of remembering in the still of the night with just me and a tiny baby and Jesus.

    The first verse below is what I hold on to as I pray over my husband and his brother who is also a non believer. I received peace from the Lord when He showed me this verse. What a joy to look forward to the day God will do this, and as I read today, He just has to say the word and it will be done!
    ” I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” Ezequiel 36:26-27
    1 Samuel 10 (Saul is anointed King) read the chapter if you get a chance.
    v9 As Saul turned to leave Samuel, God changed Saul’s heart, and all these signs were fulfilled that day.
    God, the changer of our hearts!!!!??
    Scripture for today:
    The faith of the centurion Matt 8:5-13. Verse 8 jumped out at me this morning.
    “The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.”
    Amen!!!!

    I have so many promises I speak because Gods word will not return to him void but will accomplish what he desires and achieve His purpose. Here are a few:
    2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
    Exodus 14:13-14 …”Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring to you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
    Isaiah 54:7 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgement You shall condemn…
    Psalm 138:8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endured forever, Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

    He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deut 31:8).
    He is our refuge and underneath are His everlasting arms (Deut 33:27).
    He will complete what He starts (Phil 1:6).
    He will lose none the Father has given Him (John 6:39).

    Amen, amen, AMEN! Rstore us, Abba Father! Thank You, Lord Jesus for loving us to Your death! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for Your constant comfort and presence in us. Lord, thank You for Your unfailing promises, that You have seen our suffering and now will restore us. In the Mighty name of Jesus, amen!

    AMEN! Thank you Abba that you are not like man, who changes their mind! Thank you for your promises. I stand upon them and as I look back over my life I see how deep and strong your love for me has been from day one. Thank You my Lord!

    As I began seeking the face of the Lord today, I felt that He wanted me to share this promise that Jesus gave with you because it is not for me only but for all of you.
    John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that the Father may give you whatever you ask Him in My name.
    You are chosen. Hallelujah! Your prayers are heard. Praise the Lord! You are blessed and appointed and anointed. Glory to His Name! You ARE a blessing wherever you are, wherever you go, in your home, at your work, in your community. You bless every home you visit, every store you enter, every restaurant you eat at, because you bring with you hope, peace, joy, God’s kind of undying love, and His salvation and righteousness to a broken and dying world.

    Yes!!! Thought I was done with the crying eyes still swollen from yesterday. But yes!!!! I recieve this promise Lord!!! And I will find a way to move it from my mind to my heart.
    John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that the Father may give you whatever you ask Him in My name. You are chosen.
    What was stolen? A mother daughter relationship as it was intended. But most importantly, what was stolen from my daughters a happy, safe, childhood, and now (25 & 26) their struggle to rid thier minds of the torment from the past. What was stolen, a sound and peacful mind.

    I just want to thank Dineen for her words of encouragement and prayer yesterday. God is so Good to life that heaviness of condemnation. He has lifted that cloud with your prayer, the encouraging words of others who have already received victory in marriage restoration, and even confirmation of the words to wait…in joyful expectation and full of hope. I also received word this morning, that a faithful friend from my former home will be here this weekend to visit. What encouragement and gifts from Abba Father!
    So my verses have been Ephesians 3:20-21, and Philippians 4:13. That last verse still hangs in my far-away home on the farm, and stands guard in claiming it for the Kingdom. I just picked up a book last night about all the Biblical promises of God, and they are PLENTIFUL!
    Many prayers and praise and thankfulness to the faithful believers in the SUMite community, and to our fearless leaders who bring truth and light into all our lives. We love you Lynn and Dineen!

    There are so many verses that God has given me. He has promised me that he will never leave me, he will protect me, and he loves me so much. He created me for a special purpose. I have had many hard times in the past and almost gave up, when he constantly said, I have plans, stay, do the work I created you for. Love the unlovely, show them what my love is all about. God told me this about my blended family and prebeliever. He also said, that my hubby will be saved, and God will do miraculous things in our family. These are just a few of the verses he gave me. Psalm 140:7/Her 29:11/ 1Thess 5:16-18/ Joel 2:25/ Ezekiel 36:36/ Psam 68:19.
    Abba is so good. I love Him. I see that he is working in my home. And my prebeliever is watching all of this closely. Praise God! My pre-believer will in 2015 ask Jesus to come into his heart! I know it, I feel it.. :o)

    I was given this verse in 2013, the year of divorce:
    Is 37:30
    Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Here is the proof that what I say is true:
    “This year you will eat only what grows up by itself, (2013 – Olga)
    and next year you will eat what springs up from that.(2014 – Olga)
    But in the third year you will plant crops and harvest them; (2015 – Olga)
    you will tend vineyards and eat their fruit.
    Thank you Lord. I am expecting your mighty hand to move in power to do your perfect will. In Jesus name and because of His sacrifice I trust you. Amen

    Dear Dineen,
    I am in awe of how mighty our God is and how He is moving and confirming His Word in our lives! I am so blessed by this community! One body and one Spirit! (Ephesians 4:4). Eph. 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
    I praise the Lord for you and Lynn and every one in this online Body of Christ, and for what He is doing in our lives today and now!

    The Lord spoke to me telling me to pray fervently. I prayed as I wept for unanswered prayers to be answered. My heart broke as I prayed, I believe that is the type of prayer He seeks from me. Passionate heartfelt prayer. After I prayed He gave me peace that He is working in ways I cannot see nor understand. His thoughts are higher than ours and His ways are mysterious to us. I know that He is working for the good of my family. I cling to that. Thank You Abba Father for Your plans are to prosper us. You are a loving God and You have a plan for every one one of Your children. Your will be done in our lives! Amen

    Me too! My husband says I can’t be trusted with money because I “waste” my income tithing. My verse for this (and many other situations) is:
    Prov 19:11 A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense (especially the last part, I am gaining GLORY by overlooking his ugliness about tithing, etc)

    Lord, all I can offer you is my lunch. I pray as we do that as a community, you will multiply your power and pour your mercy on thousands and thousands, that you would feed the hungry souls and hearts with your love and grace. We pray for miracles and breakthroughs, for impossible mountains to be moved and be cast into the sea. Lord Jesus, come and make a way. In your name. Amen

    Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.
    Since my husband is leaning toward a divorce I am always praying for his heart to soften and his heart of stone to turn to a heart of flesh!

    Praise you Lord that you watch over your word to perform it! You never break your promises:
    Hebrews 6:19 ‘So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.’
    I claim the below as my personal promises with thanksgiving and confident hope that they are being fulfilled
    Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’declares the Lord,’because you are called an outcast,Zion for whom no one cares.’

    i am glad to see so many hearing from God, i am struggling in many area right now, i dont know what i am doing so wrong, i am fasting along side of you all and doing what is posted, but i havent been touched like u all have. i wonder if you can see my posts ……… even if you can’t i pray for u all and your situations, and i pray your break through is upon you, i pray God hears my plea’s God bless you all

    I also came across this one yesterday: ‘everyone who loves is born of God and knows God’ ! I feel that is true deep down w our loving prebelievers as well. They love us, they sacrifice for us, there is God in their hearts deep down, that openness to His love, for when the time is right.

    WOW! I can only say wow! This was so amazing! My scripture that God has given me that sticks out most is Micah 7:8? But as we headed into this fast God lead me to Joel 2:19-32! I am amazed at our Father!!! He is SO good to me!

    These two have been mine this fall:
    John 14:18 “I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you.”
    and Psalm 62:5 “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” and so it is.
    And then it is this one: “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” Proverbs 21:1. I would repeat it all day right after my husband told me it was over.

    Dear Father,
    Judy is struggling. She is experiencing feelings which you did not put in her. Judy is your beloved
    daughter, and worthy of every bit of your love and direction. Let her receive it.
    Renew her spirit Father, focus her mind to be alert, her heart to be peaceful. Father,
    I pray against any hinderances in Judy’s life that are standing in the way of
    drawing closer to you. I trust Father, that Judy will have the breakthrough she is seeking.
