A Birthday, An Announcement, A Prayer Request

This is a very special Thankful Thursday for me. I am so humbled and thrilled to share some exciting news. I am joining the staff of our church, Sunridge Community Church. I will be helping my friend Pam in Women’s Ministry. If any of you have read my Bio you know I have been involved in Women’s Ministries, Bible Study, for years. It was in this Bible Study where God met me and placed my marriage on a path of healing.

What you don’t know is the amazing history Pam and I share. Pam and I met in Las Vegas. She and I were in the management-training program within the bank where we both worked. She was training in Operations and I, in Lending. We were great friends and loved the same clothes. Pam is a smart dresser and a fantastic banker. What I find fascinating is the time in which we met was I was smack in the middle of my prodigal years and she was unsaved.

Our career paths changed a few years later and I moved to California.

Fast-forward two or three years, I run into Pam at our local Southern California, Target. “Pam, what are you doing in Temecula?”

She also moved to Temecula and we renewed our friendship. A coincidence? Not! All these eight years later she and I are now madly in love with Jesus. More amazing still, we will serve Him together at the same church and are teaming up to serve the women in this body of believers.

Don’t ever discount past friendships because we don’t know how or why God brings people into our lives. I am amazed, further still, that God would take me, this broken and messed up girl, and use me in any way to serve His Kingdom. For this I don’t have adequate words to express my thankfulness. Jesus, I am nothing without you!

I have been telling Pam about our amazing online community. I want to share all of you with her. So, would you leave us a quick prayer asking for the Lord to cover our ministry efforts at our Church so that everything we do would honor Jesus.

Now, I wonder how and when we will meet? Our friendship is eternal in spite of the fact we have never met face-to-face.

    Congrats on the job change and how wonderful that you will be working with a friend! God is so good. Change is not always easy…I have been going through a lot of changes in my life lately. God has a plan …we keep pressing forward!

    Oh, Lynn, I am so excited for you and your new position! And I never cease to be amazed at the ways God works in our lives to bring us together with the right people or put us in just the right job position, etc. What an awesome God he is!
    I’ve also been catching up on some posts you’ve written over the last week or so. God is working in your man’s life.. I can just see it. LOVE how you were able to talk to him about God’s love. From his statement it looks like he’s been giving this some thought… such a great thing! I am just so excited to see how this continues to play out in the months to come! Praying, praying, praying….

    Dearest Father, This is so like You to work in the physical as well as the spiritual to reunite two friends and have them become sisters. I praise for Your Hand working out each detail of this study and ask Your Spirit to lead and guide both Lynn and Pam and minister to each woman they lead. Jesus I pray each person will see You in these blessed sisters. With thanksgiving, Amen.

    I am so touched with your post this morning. Maybe because I am also a messed up girl (if not now surely in the past!). I also feel like I can relate to this friendship you and Pam have with what I have with some close friends here.

    Heavenly Father, Thank You for completing the good work that Lynn has began here at SUM & 1P3 with a bursting forth new creation in a ministry with her special friend Pam! We thank you that you have made their crooked paths not only straight but also that once more you drew their friendship together now under Your Cross to move forward in this women’s ministry to bear fruit at Sunrise Community Church! I thank You that You always had a good plan for Lynn that now will be shared with Pam to minister to women!Lord, please cover this new ministry with Your Love & Protection! May all of their steps be covered by You to bring You honor, and we give You all the glory, honor and power for the great things You are yet to do through Christ Jesus for Lynn & her marriage and also with Pam. Bless their ministry & bring guidance filled with wisdom. May they not do it in their own strength or words, not by might, nor by power but by Your Spirit!!!     so that means You will watch over & inspire
