I find it amazing how quickly God points out my selfishness. Following a fight with my spouse, I was in the car after running an errand. I was feeling angry…

I find it amazing how quickly God points out my selfishness.

Following a fight with my spouse, I was in the car after running an errand. I was feeling angry and completely justified in my point-of-view. I decided that a little music might be the calming influence I needed so I turned on the radio and happened upon a Christian radio station that I rarely tune in.

The words I heard that very minute were:

Colossians 3:12-14

12Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

I was completely humbled and changed in that minute.

I am God’s chosen. I am a Christian and I choose to put on the perfect bond of love and forgive as the Lord forgives!

Making up also has its own rewards! Be blessed!

    Oh yeah, I’ve had many times like this with my hubby and I tell ya the amount of times God has turned my pointing finger back on me is amazing. It’s so easy to look at someone elses faults when we have just as many but then God disciplines those he loves so it’s all good 🙂

    Hi..just blog hopping and came across your blog. I’m going to like this. When I have more time will come back and read some more. My husband and I met in church, both served him in our youth, and then both went prodigal…no excuses…I surrendered my life to Jesus in 1998, but alas, hubby has not “followed suit” though I spent many years demanding it…LOL..yeah right, like that works! Today we are enjoying each other again, as God continues to work on MY heart! I’ll definitely be back! This is the first blog I’ve found that touchs on this subject.
