I shared how I had prayed for two straight years, blessing her everyday as she walked out the door to go to school, and then asking God to ignite a flaming fire in her heart for him as she headed down the sidewalk.

When I wrote this post, I thought God had answered my prayers. I couldn’t imagine that he’d only just begun. Over the last year, I’ve watched her bloom and grow in her faith, and finally settle at a church that she now calls “her church.” She’s found her place.

This past Sunday I had the privilege of seeing my daughter baptized. She felt the call of the Holy Spirit on her heart and knew it was time. I watched this bright and wonderful 18 year old proudly profess her faith, bold and full of excitement.

As I watched her, I could only thank God for what he’s done, and what he’s brought us through. He first taught me about his faithfulness while we were living in Switzerland, and my precious daughter was at the heart of one of the most intense trials I ever gone through. To come full circle, to witness this day, I’m filled with awe at how God has shown me an even greater height to his faithfulness. He not only answered my prayer, he surpassed it. I remember the moments I despaired for her future and now-now she is safe and secure in God’s hand, ready to embark on the path he’s set in place only for her.

God is so awesome. This moment is now my greatest testimony to his faithfulness. Now I wait for another moment I know will be even greater than this one.

Praying and believing,
Dineen
