As I type these words, I am humbled by the goodness of our God. I thank Him for watching over Dineen and Leslie. Scroll down to read their story.

I am thankful that I ran 15 miles last week and I am on schedule to complete my training for the half marathon in January. What was I thinking? I don’t know but I am really into this running thing… Go figure..

Mostly, I am thankful the Lord is teaching me about what it really means to love my neighbor.

Tomorrow, I invite you to join me in a very unique and first time event in our online history. We are going to impact our world through loving our neighbor. Who is our neighbor? How can we really impact our sphere of influence?

Stop by here tomorrow if you are up for an adventure you will never forget. Your kids will always remember it. Your life will be changed by it. If you are praying for unbelievers in your life, they will witness first hand what it means to see love in action – in you. Loving people like Jesus loves. I can’t wait.. I tell you… I just can’t wait.

I am a humble and thankful servant. I love each of you who spend your valuable time here with me. Thank you! Your friendship is a rich and eternal blessing. Be Blessed, Lynn

    I have to admit — I’m not very good in reaching out to my neighbors. We have hoarders across the street. I’ve tried to help them, all to no avail. Now that a couple of them have frequent skin infections that I think are due to the filth in which they live, I’m not inclined to want to risk my own health and “help” them.
    We have a druggie on the other side of us who can’t say anything w/o lying. Makes it extremely difficult to want to minister to her because lying is my #1 pet peeve. If you lie to me, I’ll drop you like a hot potato.
    I tend to think of my neighbor as my family, as well as the clerks who ring up my groceries, etc.

    Oh 15 miles…that is awesome. I am sidelined by an injury and miss my running time! Can’t wait for tomorrow’s post…sounds exciting. BTW, I think we had lunch at She Speaks on Thursday – we did if you were at a table with Micca…we may have sat next to each other. Blessings!

    Isn’t Thankful Thursday such a blessing? I am praying for Dineen and Leslie and the challenges they face.
    And good for you…for taking on the challenge of running a half marathon. Praise God for your good health and the ability He gives you to run.
    My favorite movie is “Chariots of Fire”. The line I love is when Eric Lidell tells his sister that God made him fast and that he feels God’s pleasure when he runs. So feel God’s pleasure as you run, Lynn.

    Wow… 15 miles! I’m impressed. I’m a walker but running just does me in completely.. good for you!

    Blessings Lynn…indeed so much to be thankful! I’m thankful for Leslie & Dineen’s journey thus far and praying still for their family…and I’m so pleased with how Dineen is reacting & holding up under the strength of the Almighty! Praise God! I’m also very thankful that you came to visit me…did you find the Thankful Thursday section?
    And WOW! Determination & perseverance…15 miles…marathon…I’d be fortunate to be able to walk that distance. That is awesome!
    Now this peaks one’s curiosity~such skill:
    “We are going to impact our world through loving our neighbor. Who is our neighbor? How can we really impact our sphere of influence?” I’m intrigued…but not so sure
    I’m up to the adventure or challenge!!!

    Sounds like an amazing adventure. My pastor has been talking about loving our neighbor lately. Your post is timely and personal to me. I’d love to know more, however I probably can’t read it tomorrow. My parents are in town and I have a busy weekend and week next week. Hope to peek in again though. I am curious!
