    Our church watched the movie “Fire Proof” and me and my oldest daughter really enjoyed it. I was planning on purchasing it, hoping that my husband would watch it at home with me, but I haven’t done so yet. Maybe I’ll win it instead?:) Thanks for the chance.

    I read your blog often, especially when I want to give up. Your beautiful photos showing the monarch going from bondage to free grips my heart. I have waited so long to have a husband who is free from the self-imposed bondage he hides in. He has heard the truth so many times but instead of breaking free it feels like he adds another layer. I know the euphoria of being free from bondage and discovering my father’s cruel words were not true or right. I am fluttering about in a beautiful meadow with my new found wings, but no matter how high I fly it is still so lonely. My husband goes to church, reads the books, hears the message and knows the Truth, but continues to live in bondage. He fears the struggle I think. He is comfortable with being a worm, and has lived hidden away in his cocoon for so long now that even the promise of soaring is not sufficient to compel him to come out! Living in the flesh is definitely living in bondage. My heart breaks when I think of all he has missed, we have missed. For 30 years I have prayed and waited and prayed more and waited longer. Yesterday though I just wanted to see what would happen if I folded in my wings and starting to crawl back into my chrysalis. I know of course I cannot go back but there are times when I wonder if it wouldn’t be easier if I didn’t know the joy of soaring. It is so heartbreaking. My heart longs to be one with my husband and fly free together. Please pray for me to discover the joy of the Lord today and persevere in this.

    dear amanda,
    i will pray for you. my heart feels your burden. when i felt like i was not one with my husband, i viewed the Lord as my husband, since he is my only trust anyway. then my husband could do no wrong. i know your walk is hard and you feel alone, but we’re all here for you, and so is the Lord. stay close to Him in prayer and His word.

    What a wonderful thing you are doing. I know that whoever gets this will be highly blessed.
    I am standing for my marriage of 30 years. Fireproof is a wonderful tool in any marriage for any movie. I was blessed after watching it that I got my husband to as well.
    God bless you for what you are doing. Please if you wouldn’t mind please pray for my husband David and our marriage restoration.
