Have you noticed God in the little things? The bloom of a flower, a clear blue sky, a special word you needed at a particular time of discouragement?

God's presence is all around us, constantly. He knows about every bit of our lives, and not just as an observer but as faithful Father/Friend/Creator who cares and wants to be involved in our lives. And He is!

He is so faithful, so holy, so constant! I hope you'll take a moment this weekend and notice the ways God's working in your life. Make a list. Even of the tiniest of things.

And give Him praise and thanks, because God is good!

    I find that I am more aware of those things in my surroundings that I used to simply take for granted. We finally had rain the other morning and I was so thankful. I took my blanket out on my covered patio at 3 in the morning and fell asleep to the sound of the rain.

    I didn’t have to look for God today – he basically slapped me across the face. This morning my husband wanted to come to church with me – however I am in charge of greeters and like to be early(and we only had one car today) – to make a long story short he made me late. By the time we got to church it was 20 min-in. So we went to get donuts with the kids and would go to the next service. I sat there flaming mad as he nagged me about how ridiculous it is that I have to go to church early to greet and stay late. I could feel my blood boiling I tried to stay calm, but I just couldn’t this morning. Before you knew it we were back in the car on our way to church and our conversation had gone sour. I told him to just drive home I was crying and I just wanted to run to my room and hide. On the drive home I silently cried looking out the window and I told God that I had lost hope – how would my husband ever come close to Christ when I keep behaving so horribly as a wife – instead of drawing him near by my behavior I keep acting in such stupid ways lately. I kept saying it’s hopeless Lord please help me because I know we are supposed to be joyful in hope and patient in affliction – but I’m neither and I feel hopeless right now. That’s when God decided to perform a miracle!!! My husband pulled up to the front of our house instead of up the driveway. He let me get out of the car and then he told me he was going to go to church by himself with the kids!!!!!!! What!!! I walked up the driveway probably with my mouth hanging open as he pulled away. You want to talk about God taking my hopelessness and filling me with ((HOPE)) You better believe I prayed like crazy that hour he was gone. Forgive me forgive me thank you thank you touch him reach him…..Thank heavens God knows what we need before we say it – because I was so worked up my prayers probably sounded like jibberish to a human:) Now as I write this I’m still in shock! Only God can take a wife throwing a temper-tantrum and pull out something amazing. Our God is an AWESOME GOD!!!!!
