Fasting prepares you for a fresh anointing. ~ Jentezen Franklin

Let's do some serious things for God in 2011? Let's crash through our walls of Jericho and bring the surrender of those strongholds.

Let us also bring before the Lord our priorities, hopes and dreams as we know them today. Through this process we will bring into clear focus those areas in our life that we are seeking God's hand, His wisdom and His power.

Top Ten for 2011 (PDF)

The form above is a simple list to get our mind, heart and prayers circling around the new year. I am asking you to consider several areas in your life, bring them to God in prayer, ask for his wisdom and provision over these areas and to lead you to their completion.

For example on my list I have written:

Okay, these are a few of my hopes, dreams, goals.

Then I'm going to write down my praises and thanksgiving for the answers to prayer I have received. A least 10.

Now I am going to bring my list every day throughout our fasting to the Lord. Asking Him to confirm or remove any of these. To supply His wisdom as to how I am to follow Him toward these goals. To ask Him for accountability.

Dineen and I want to be your partner in this with you throughout 2011. We have prayed about how to be your accountability partner to acheiving your Top Ten. If you want someone to pray over your hopes and dreams. Someone to share your joy in answered prayer. Someone to check on your progress and to see you though the next 12 months, then consider us.

Make a copy of your completed Top Ten of 2011 and then mail it to me.

We plan to follow up with you several times throughout the year. Okay, start dreaming. God gave us dreams and they are for His purposes and glory.

    My Top 10 of 2011
    1)To restore to me to joy and peace of my salvation.
    2)To give me strength to continue to trust Him with my heart’s desires and dreams.
    3)To have my heart open to new opportunities to minister to people for Him.
    4)To be employed @ a job that is pleasing to Him and rewarding and fulfilling to me.
    5)To formulate a plan and set goals to start my non profit organization.
    6)To become independent and no longer live with family.
    7)To have my heart be prepared for the changes that lie ahead between my family and I.
    8)To maintain my privacy so I can keep my peace.
    9)To have my heart remain open to be prepared for my husband so that I may receive him fully.
    10)To have the wisdom to maintain a childlike spirit throughout the year.

    Thank you for being accountability partners. One of my top ten (and I will mail you the list) is more clairity,understanding and direction that the Lord wants me to take on how to more efficently lead the mis-matched marriage class I have been teaching on at my church (Uniquely Yoked). It starts up again Jan 12 on Wed. nights. Prepare the ladies hearts that the Lord wants attending this season as well as their circumstances in order to. I have a heart for the ladies who yet are not married and are considering marrying to an unbeliever, so that could go along with clarity and understanding and how to. I know God is good and I look forward to this fast opening my mind and heart to His will for it. Thanks! Love you and will also be praying for you too!

    Hello Lynn – I dont have a list – only one:
    to give the Holy Spirit more room in my heart and in doing so my life
    we always thinks God has everything but He really doesnt – we humans try to keep alittle to ourselves and in doing so God cant do everything He promised – He is a gentleman and doesnt force himself in our lives.

    I don’t have a full 10…
    1. Be more patient, less angry
    2. Give more things to God, stress less
    3. Spend more time with my husband
    4. Spend more time in God’s word
    5. Spend more time in prayer and mediation.
    6. Show my husband God’s love so that he may seek it out himself
    7. Be more like I am at church when I am at work, show my co-workers and friends what being a Christian looks like. I don’t know if they actually take my seriously.

    Here are my two I been praying about/over for the last month:
    1. That God will show me where and how He wants me to minister to others and not shy away.
    2. That God may increase my photography.

    It’s funny, as I wrote my list, it came to consist mainly of ‘issues’ in my life. Then I read more about the purpose of fasting, and some comments here, and it struck me that I hadn’t put down the purpose of this fast – to glorify God, and to seek deeper intimacy with Him. So that’s my #1 on my Top 10 – to seek His direction on living my life to glorify Him, and to deepen my relationship with Him, at whatever sacrifice and cost.
