The official launch of Winning Him Without Words.

 I scarcely can take it all in. 

What a journey. As I type these words to you my friends, with brimming eyes I wonder, “Who am I?”

I’m an ordinary woman and wife just like you. But just like you, I have discovered the only thing that matters about living life.

JESUS

I love Jesus. I love Jesus. I love Jesus.

And for the rest of my life I will tell anyone who listens that healing, joy, peace, and purpose are all ours through the transforming love of Jesus.

That is what this book is all about. We can trust Jesus with our marriage, with our heart, with our kids, with every part of us.

Today I give humble thanks to the Lord for allowing Dineen and I to share the transforming power and love through our stories in this book. We prayed hours and hours, poured our hearts and souls into writing it, hoping it would help someone who is walking the journey with us. It is our life’s purpose and our fervent prayer that many more will discover what we all know, Jesus is the answer.

Thank you to each of you who purchased a book. THANK YOU to those of you who have or are currently reading it and leading a small group. THANK YOU to all of the bloggers, website owners, radio hosts and stations around the world for allowing us to share our hope.

What will the next year hold? Perhaps a new book? Certainly more fantastic surprises and what I pray for more than anything, the salvation of many, many spouses, especially one stubborn man married to a wacky 5′ 4″ blonde lady who loves him, fantasy football, and all of you.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. Thank you for traveling this journey with us. I can’t wait to meet you face-to-face and to live with you forever in our Father’s house.

    Hope. This is the place I first found hope for my marriage.
    Almost a year ago, I gave the Lord my Lenten sacrifice… the 40 day ‘Love Dare’ challenge. I was ready to give up, but I got on my face before my Jesus and promised 40 more days. I made it to day 20. It was ugly. I took my leather bound copy and threw it in the burn pit and set it aflame. I was done.
    But Jesus wasn’t.
    I googled unequally yoked. I found you girls and watched your videos. I wept. I WAS NOT ALONE! I ordered your book and drank from it like a thirsty girl drinking fresh cool water from the hose on a hot, dry summer day. I found hope.
    I wear my wedding ring now. I also wear my ‘I love my husband’ t-shirt to church on Wed nights. We are slowing working through the ‘Love Dare’ challenge… together. He bought me a new copy.
    I thank God for you girls. I thank God for this community of believers who one-day-at-a-time gives their marriages back to Jesus. I’m thankful for ‘Winning Him Without Words’ and pray the Lord brings it to every hurting spouse who is still waiting.

    And so it was—right after the release of your book, I found it after years and years of being in an equally yoked marriage. As you know, it capitvated me, inspired me, and now I am leading a group of women at my church. I praise God everyday for this opportunity, and he worked through the two of you to enable me to do this. I am shedding tears as I write this. God waste nothing.
    Thank you both for the encouragement you have and are continuing to give to women.

    I will definitely be looking into this book and this page. I was widowed in 2003 (suicide loss) remarried in 2006.. lets just say I am very let down, dissappointed and in a serious FUNK right now. Perhaps this book would help me unload a bunch of very frustrating things.

    I absolutely love your website. I do not have the nerve yet to let my husband know that I get your emails everyday. I close them whenever he comes into the room. I am afraid of what he might say. So, having said that, it would be a huge step for me to have this book lying around our home. However, that may just be a first step to opening the door to the conversation that may be needed between us. Only God knows the answer to that, and should I win a copy, I guess that would be God nudging me and stretching my trust in him. I need courage myself and struggle every day to maintain my faith in the light of the life he leads. I have written before and your words of encouragement and your prayers have been such a blessing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the encouragement you girls give to all of us every day. I look each morning for your email as it starts my day on the right path and reminds me that I am not on this path alone. So thank you, and may God bless you both.

    THank you for writing this book, I can’t wait to read it. I have struggled for years with being unequally yoked. SO many times I have been ready to throw in the towel on my marriage, but Jesus keeps reminding me this is about HIM and not about me. I would love to win a copy of your book.     Congratulations! Love this blog! Definitely my marriage and family is my mission for the Lord.
    I’ve read When He Doesn’t Believe, Surviving the Spiritual Mismatch, and the Five Love Languages. These books all have helped me tremendously… and,I like to recommend one more book that I didn’t see on your resource list “Spiritually Single Moms-Raising Godly Kids When Dad Doesn’t Believe” by Nancy Sebastian Meyer – very good book with lots of prayers – helped me with raising my 4 boys-2 stepsons. It has not been easy with the boys, but now they are all teens and college student and walking with the Lord despite that dad doesn’t believe. Praise the Lord!
    I’m going to read your book – win or not.

    Hello…I just stumbled across you ladies a few weeks ago…you have been encouraging to me…I would consider myself to by in a spiritually unequal marriage..I was raised in the Christian faith but in my late teens early 20’s kinda walked away and lived how I knew I shouldn’t. Now my faith is very important to me, and have clung to it during VERY difficult times in my life..my husband believes the same things I do, but was not raised with any sort of Christian influence. At times he seems so spiritually dead, and although he faithfully comes with me to church every Sunday (thank you God),and we have had many conversations, I’m not really sure where he stands spiritually. He is such a good man and I love him so much. I would very much love to win a copy of your book. –Christi

    How beautiful is the Body of Christ! I’m so thankful for your prayers; I feel them & need them. You both have lived the truth that my rededication to my husband can be like poking at a bee’s nest. I’ve been reminded that the battle is not flesh & blood, but we are daughters of the Overcomer and we will stand in Him!
    My guy & I have been married 22 years now. I fell head over heels for Jesus 18 years ago. It’s been an uphill climb, but I have finally arrived at this resting place where I’ve told my King, “You are enough. Your grace is sufficient for me. Yes, even if he never walks with You, I will stay and thrive. I will love him because you loved him first.”
    I will be here often, walking closely with you girls as we continue to wait. You bless me. I have prayed for your husbands to feel so loved by you that they see our Savior in an undeniable way. I’ve also asked that He bring alongside our men other men who chase after the Lord daily. May they feel compelled to allow His love to saturate their hearts. May they be like Saul, having the scales fall from their eyes and proclaim, “I see Jesus!”

    Tammy, remember 1Peter 3:6 says, “…do what is right and do not give way to fear.” Do not hide what you do from your husband. You never know when his “what the **** are you reading?” might lead to a scary but needed conversation. Courage, my sister!

I seem to be in a different boat than most others here: my husband and I met in church, but he has since drifted away and now questions the existence of God. I feel rather cheated. I signed up for an Ephesians 5 marriage, not a 1Peter 3 one. But your words make this difficult journey less lonesome. Thank you!

    I have been wanting to get a copy of your book for quite a while. My local Christian bookstore doesn’t carry it. 🙁 Your blog has encouraged me so much over the last few years.     One year ago my husband and I were struggling, but we still went to church together. Today, we have been separated for two forever long months. I pray for him without ceasing. Our church prays for him. God hears our prayers. He finally admitted a few days ago that he has never been saved. That is my prayer, for his salvation. God is really working hard on him, and Satan is too, but we all know that God is stronger. My husbands name is Phillip, and at this point in time he is a broken soul in need of the Lord. Please lift him up. Thank you for your ministry. God is using you to help me through this trial.

    I have been following Spiritually Unequal for over a year now, but have never found the courage to comment. Until now. (God is good!)
    My husband and I have been married for less than 2 years, most of that time being spent apart as he is active duty military. He has been deployed overseas for awhile now and I remember that I couldn’t help but weep the day he left, as I realized that all of my efforts during the previous year were really just wrong motives to be his Holy Spirit. As much as I pray for my husband to become the man of God that I know he has been called to be, all of Satan’s lies and the pressures of the world had not only built up inside and effectively turned me into a bitter, depressed, lonely woman, but I came to believe that it was due to my husband’s disinterest in faith that our marriage would never be God-honoring. I broke down one day and laid all of my worries at the foot of the cross. While I have yet to purchase Winning Him Without Words, you have already helped me realize that I actually have the choice to honor God in my marriage ever day, in every moment, with every word I spoke. I have learned that it was, in fact, my heart and my mind that needed changing and I continue to make progress in this area.
    You ladies are seriously precious angels to me, because without your words of encouragement and challenge, I’m not sure if I would have acknowledged my brokenness and allowed God to make my heart pliable again. Thank you for the time, energy, and love you put behind every post. Through every tough situation I have found myself in, you have been my spiritual mentors. I want you to know the tremendous impact you’ve made in my life. Blessings to you both!

    I first heard you both on an interview on Christian talk radio in my car driving home. I was immediately transfixed though I only caught just the last few words. I was so excited that there was actually a book written and a community of believers in my situation! I wasn’t alone! I knew that the interview would be on the station’s site archives and I couldn’t wait to listen to it.
    The Lord is so good and oh how He knows exactly what we need! You both are such a blessing and have brought so much to so many in being faithful to his calling.

    make our Jesus. How humble and how right on track you are. I'm embracing you

    Lord, this very hour, may you be moved to change everything in Phillips
    life, his heart, character and the circumstances. Move in him so mightily
    that he comes to a full relationships with you through Jesus. Father save
    his soul. Put into place the people who can speak truth to him. The
    circumstances to humble him and overwhelm whim with such love that he can no
    longer ignore you. Protect him from the evil one who has him chain with lie
    and speak light and freedom into his very soul. In the powerful,
    life-changing name of Jesus. Amen.
