My dear friends,

Lynn and I just had one of our lively phone conversations-this one in preparation for our Focus on the Family broadcast scheduled for March 26th and 27th. There will also be a Twitter "party" on Friday-stay tuned for details on that.

But we need your help. God is throwing open doors to this ministry that we never imagined possible. We hoped, we prayed, but did we dare to dream? Yes, but not on this level. God is AMAZING!!! 

So, how can you help?

We need your prayers. This community has proven to be a huge blessing for all of us-a place of safety to seek prayer, encouragement and understanding. We are expecting the upcoming events to bring new people into our midst as they find out they are not alone in their mismatched marriage, that there are others walking this path who care and can come along side them in prayer, and that God is showing them the way to thrive (not just survive) in their mismatched marriage. 

Will you start praying for them now? Ask God to bring the men and women He wants to hear the Focus on the Family broadcast and to this site for more resources. Ask God to strengthen them and to show them His wild hope. 

And finally, Lynn and I would like to ask you to pray for us and our marriages. We need protection. You above all else understand the spiritual warfare that surrounds all of us, especially when we are fighting for our marriages and for God's kingdom. The enemy would like nothing better than to discredit our testimonies by tearing our marriages apart. Please pray for our protection.

Leave your prayers in the comments for us-we'd love to read them and be encouraged by your precious words as we prepare for the upcoming events and seek God's leading in all of it.

All of this is because of God and for His glory alone. We are so grateful for every one of you. You are the reason we are here-to share God's comfort and strength. Now it's your turn. Let's make God proud.

    I pray that God puts His message in your mouths as you speak on Focus on the Family. I pray that people who need to hear the message tune in and that they come to this site for more encouragement. I pray that this community supports each other in love. I pray that our marriages be strong. I pray for our spouses to open their hearts to true love which is Christ.

    Father God thank You for Lynn and Dineen. Thank you that they have heard Your call and have obeyed. They are such a blessing, a beacon of light and hope to all the unequally yoked. I pray precious Jesus that you anoint them to speak Your Word for many more to be encouraged into not giving up on their mismatched marriages. Protect them from the enemies snares oh might God and envelope them with Your protection. In Your Holy name. Amen.

    I am new to your site from just yesterday (guess I beat the radio crowds!)but I have to tell you what a balm your words, your site and your faith has been to my soul so far. Do you realize that you are amazing warriors for God? I can picture an army of angels surrounding you and your marriages so that nothing can come against them…because who is for you, right?! I have been what I call a “church widow” for so many years and yet other than one girlfriend of mine I have yet to come across other church widows or women who find themselves unequally yoked that can offer me encouragement and wisdom the way that you do. I have no doubt that many will find your site in the coming week and be amazingly blessed, as I have, and I pray that God would cover you both, cover your marriages and know that the enemy will not get an edge against you. I pray that nothing, no words or thoughts of discouragement would hinder your ministry and that God would use this time to offer the living water so many women out there are longing to drink…the love of our Lord, Jesus.

    Father, arm my SUM sisters with the spiritual armour you have provided us all with to take on the Goliaths in our lives who try to bring us down. It is only for your Glory that we reach out to others and pray they’ll take Your hand. I lift Lynn and Dineen up to you Lord knowing Your strength will support them as they venture even further along this meaningful path You have them on. In Jesus Mighty name I pray! AMEN!

    Father, Son and Spirit, I praise and thank you for Your hand in Lynn and Dineen’s lives. I thank you that as your daughters, they have given their lives and futures to you. I thank you for their ministry. I lift up those who need to hear Your message, through these gals, and ask that You would direct them to listen to the program. May it be Your Spirit wooing others and giving them a balm to heal any pain in their lives.
    Again Father, I thank you for the special ladies you’ve chosen and used so much-for me and for others. Bless them today and let your love pour forth on their marriages and families.

    Lord, I ask that you prepare hearts and minds for the Focus on the Family broadcast. Help all that need to find hope in this message be able to hear it. I ask that you keep Lynn and Dineen’s family safe and free from those distractions that tend to rob us of our time, talents, and treasuers. Continue to grow their marriages, so that they can be an example of how You intend for us to keep our wedding vows even when things do not go as we planned. Again I ask that You bring all those who need to hear the message, and link us together so that we can bear each others burdens just as you intended.

    I’m one of those who came to this site by listening to you gals on a radio broadcast not too long ago and I’ve told a friend at church (also unequally married) about this site – told her to listen to the broadcast. I’m sure many marriages will be saved through the broadcast.
    Our loving Father, I lift up Lynn & Dineen – may You use them in a mighty way so that many will come to know You through them. May Your work be done on that day of Focus on the Family broadcast and may the Lord be given all the glory! Please put a hedge of protection on their marriage especially at this time. May they walk in humble confidence that You, Lord, will provide everything they need to help the unequally yoked. Hush Satan’s accusations and condemnations so that ALL OF OUR PRAYERS will not be hindered – by the power of Jesus, Amen!

    What an awesome opportunity…God is truly opening doors indeed!
    Father, I ask that you surround your servants, Lynn and Dineen, with a ring of fire that the enemy’s darts may not find their way into their lives as they seek to serve you and encourage others. Bind and throw into the pit any evil entities that have plotted against them and let your angels stand guard over them.
    I know that you want to use them in a mighty way Lord and so many have already been blessed by their ministry. I pray for their families, friends and for their ministry that you will continue to protect, provide and guide. Bless them abundantly, Lord and let this broadcast be a success in that it glorifies You and draws those who need to hear it the most. AMEN!
    Lynn, Dineen..God bless and keep you both and your families! Thank you so much for all the inspiration you have provided. I also wanted to let you know that I have posted about your book “Winning Him Without Words” on my blog and, though I am no longer in a spiritually unequal marriage, I continue to read and follow along. I live abroad so I wont be able to listen to the broadcast, but if it comes out on youtube or something let me know because I’d love to see it.

    Father, I thank You so much for the work that Lynn and Dineen are doing. They have already touched so many lives and have given us encouragement to continue on our walk. I pray that as they speak on Focus on Family they will touch many, many more. You are a God of perfect timing and so I pray that You will have those in need tune in and hear the encouragement brought by these two ladies.     Oh Dineen and Lynn, I am so happy for your amazing ministry! Our Bible study is in the middle of Beth Moore’s Revelation study and a verse we studied last night came to mind when I thought of what to pray.
    Father God, I praise you for Your awesome and living word! You tell us in Revelation 12:11, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Thank You for Dineen and Lynn, who overcame and overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony! Lord, help them to not fear, for You are with them, to not anxiously look about them, for You are their God. Lord, I believe Your word and I thank You that You will strengthen Lynn and Dineen, surely You will help them, surely You will uphold them with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). I pray a hedge of protection around their marriages. Lord I pray over Lynn’s marriage…that their commitment to one another would grow stronger everyday. I pray over Dineen’s marriage as well, that their commitment to one another would grow stronger everyday. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

    Father, I praise you that you’re using Dineen and Lynn’s ministry to bring hope to many, esp. those who feel so lonely and even hopeless in their spiritually mismatched marriage. Just like what their book has done for me. It’s the hope from trusting in you, and comfort and encouragement from fellowship with those who’ve been there. Fill them with Holy Spirit. I pray for protection and blessings for their marriages as they labor for you, esp. during the upcoming radio broadcast. Oh Father, defeat the enemy’s attaches on Dineen and Lynn and their marriages because what is within them is greater than what is in the world.     Father God in the name of Jesus, I pray that you silence and bind the enemy from attacking the SUM ministry that gives so much encouragement. Lord you chose Lynn and Dineen as instruments to step out on faith and embrace the divine assignment you gave them. Father they took the challenge and look how this ministry has thrived just like their marriages because your mighty hand is over them. Protect their marriages and their families Lord, keep them together with your love and your wonderful spirit. Father let Lynn’s and Dineen’s husbands become the men of God that you created them to be along your side because you love them.     Christine,
    I have to tell you that this passage in Revelation keeps coming to me in many different ways. It’s like the Lord wants me to “get” it that it is our testimony. By our testimony we overcome.
    I’m still walking through this with Jesus and why I keep receiving this passage. I just want you to know the Lord urged you to write this. Thank you. And Isaiah 41:10 my mother’s absolute favorite verse and mine too. Thank you.
