Hey Everyone,  I’m writing this on a Thursday morning.  After arriving home from Little Rock, I’ve been balancing school meetings, back to school was Wednesday, my son and his girlfriend…

Hey Everyone, 

I’m writing this on a Thursday morning. 

After arriving home from Little Rock, I’ve been balancing school meetings, back to school was Wednesday, my son and his girlfriend arrived for a visit, my daughter dropped a quart jar of salsa on her toe, spent the day in urgent care, canned another 10 quarts of salsa and wasted a few hours watching Big Brother (Don’t judge me. It’s a weird obsession this summer, go figure?????) 

Whew! I’m overwhelmed just writing about it all. 

Needless to say, my friends, I’m running a tad behind. More than anything I want to reply to the comments that were left here way back on August 6th and every day since then. I have read them but just haven’t had time to sit down and type for several hours. 

I’m thinking I’m going to save my next post in this series for next week and do the right thing today. I need to spend time with my son today as he will be leaving tonight. I think a beach trip is just what we all need. So please forgive me for leaving you hanging. He brought along some big, BIG news. More on that later…. 

I hope to reply to some of your comments from the past two weeks tomorrow as I will be sitting in the urgent care once again. There seems to be an annoying pain in my right arm that will not go away. Time to have an x-ray. 

For all of you who left your play lists on Monday, a GIANT THANK YOU. I will be listening to your suggestions all weekend long. Some of you emailed songs to me, AWESOME. I loved them all. Here is a photo from Brie.

My friends, I know it may be difficult to carve out time in your busy, busy lives but the message I’m hearing from so many who enjoy a rich and vibrant relationship with Jesus is; He is worth every minute we give. 

Thank you for loving me in my everyday life, the busy, the weird, the BIG news, the pain in my arm. But mostly, thank you for loving Jesus and for being the salt and light in this dark, dark world. I promise you this. Every hour you live for Jesus in front of your unbelieving spouse and your children IS NOT WASTED. God's will is being accomplished. His love is trampling the darkness. His purposes will come to pass in you and your spouse. 

Thank you for loving me and your prayers. I’m a bit nervous about this whole arm business. See you Monday. 

I leave you with another question. Am I the only one who looks like a crazy woman driving in my car and singing out loud, sometimes with my arm in the air? Anyone???

    love you and your post lynn – no you are not alone – I have had my hands up too – grins – even sometimes I have cried because the song tore my heart – sniff sniff
    another question – what do you use salsa for? mexican food or american food and…if you have a great recipe – would you like to pass it on to us?

    Lynn, I am totally with you with the arm raised while driving down the road……people look at me like I am nuts and I just smile.
    I think that it is good that you are spending time with your family, God calls us to rest and that’s probably what you should do.
    That picture Brie sent is AMAZING! Makes me wish I lived by the beach, but the mountains can be fun to….(wink) When the leaves change I am sending you a picture from my deck…
    Anyway, I do want to take a moment to pray for your arm:
    Lord,
    Thank you so much for Lynn and her desire to serve you. I ask right now that you would comfort her in this time of the unknown with her arm. I pray that you will take away any nervousness and anxiety about it and allow her to enjoy You and the blessings you’ve bestowed upon her. I ask that the time she spends with her son will be blessed and that she will continue to shine brightly for you. Thank you so much. In Jesus name, Amen.

    I’m standing in agreement with Heathers prayer. I love it when I’m listening to a local christian radio channel (Joy FM) in my car and I look over and someone is signing the same song as I am. I feel our praises are going up together.

    I drive for a living so I am ALWAYS the crazy person driving and singing – I usually keep my hands on the wheel though….I’m not quite as good at keeping my eyes open, I usually want to close them…Lynn, praying for your arm and that it will all work out just fine.
    For anyone else who reads this, I had a struggle today with my husband about giving/donating some items that we were NOT using and have been sitting in our house for over 2 years. I split the difference with him on these items, but please pray for a softening of his heart toward those who have much less than he does. We live a blessed life and I always feel compelled to give to those who have nothing. Trusting that God will work this out for us. 🙂

    Hi Tamara,
    Mexican and American. I use a mix, Mrs. Wages, with Medium heat. Around here we could eat Mexican food five times a week. Sheesh. But I’m thinking it’s the home grown tomatoes that make it tasty.
    And girl, glad I’m not alone in the hand waving. *grin*. Love you.

    I adore you and thank you for this prayer. Turns out I have Tennis Elbow. Sheesh and I didn’t even get the joy of playing tennis. Anyhoo, lots of ice and such.
    Anyhoo, I WOULD LOVE a photo of the fall leaves. Fall is my favorite time of year. It’s like God super shows off His brilliance in the colors of fall.

    You made me laugh out loud. Keep those hands on the wheel and the eyes on the road. However, I KNOW exactly what you are talking about.
    Keep setting the example with your husband. I lived through exactly the same thing with my husband and giving away anything. He didn’t get it and took a long time for him to accept my charitable heart. Love you and praying. Hugs, Lynn

    May the Lord heal your arm so you can keep waving it in the air while you praise Him!
    Ha, I am so glad that the Lord judges our hearts and not our ability to sing. I can belt out a song while driving, holding up a hand… It just is not in tune.

    Loved your post. I find my arms in the air lots – at work, walking dog’s driving….
    My marriage is under attack, my husband has gone away to his family to help settle a long over due estate. I’m feeling that one of his sisters has a adjenda that he needs to move out there to look after her. I’m feeling that our marriage is under attack by the enemy. Please pray for protection for me and my boy’s.

    You are not alone. I love my time in the car praising God. The funny thing is that when I drive my grandchildren around they always ask why I have “God music” on the radio. A few of them know the words to the songs but the others don’t know what to think of it. One really neat thing. When my husband was setting up our presets for the car radio, he put a christian music station on for me………..baby steps but it’s all good.

    The car is my also my time to sing & praise & I am totally also there with you all singing along! Love that usually my husband will not change the radio in my vehicle (baby steps are awesome!!) & that friends of mine have also added the local Christian station to their presets 🙂

    I too love to sing & praise God in my car and there are times that I can’t help myself but lift up one hand. Today was an amazing day, my husband joined me at a Family Fun Day my church organized to encourage and bless our community. This is the very first step he has made. Praise the Lord!

    Glad its just tennis elbow, but I know how that can hurt! I got it when waitressing.
    Yup, I look like a crazy woman sometimes too in the car. Love to sing to the radio! 🙂

    Lord. Almighty God,
    This hour I bring GeGe and her marriage and her husband before your Mercy Seat of Grace. God dispatch angels immediately to stand guard over this home and stand for this marriage. Lord, let my pray within your will. I ask that you bind the outside influences from this marriage relationship and bind this couple together irrevocably.
    Father this hour bring a harmony to them. Grant wisdom and discernment to GeGe so she can fight for her marriage. Grant her courage to stand up for what is right. Grant her Joshua courage.
    This hour I bind the enemy and all evil, works and effects from this home in the name of Jesus and by His blood. Amen.
