IStock_000017809995XSmallMy precious friends, I can't believe Christmas is so close! As the day draws closer, I'm trying to keep my heart and mind wrapped around the miracle that God brought so long ago and keep my eyes open for the ones He's doing right now. 

I want to share one with you. My rep at a magazine publishing group that I 've worked with sent me a Merry Christmas message by email, and I almost didn't reply back out of "busyness." I'm so glad I obeyed the nudge to reply back, because it opend a dialogue for a brother in Christ to share his story and offer encouragement to our SUM community. 

My friends, read this and receive the wonderful encouragement that God, our Abba Daddy, wants to you. I know this will speak to at least one woman out there who needs to read this. My friend, God brought you here to read this today for a reason. Believe it and know that your Lord has not missed a moment of your pain or your faithfulness. Whatever He is calling you to do, trust Him for the results. Just take that first step of faith and let Him do the rest.

And thank you to Jeff for serving God so faithfully and being willing to share so openly:

I saw the Q&A you did on FamilyFiction.com and your website www.SprituallyUnequalMarriage.com. As someone that put my wife thru HECK for a number of years till I surrendered to God. My heck was not normal heck-sexual addiction, anger issues, spiritual dysfunction issues. Encourage women that no situation is too tough for God. I was so far gone, yet it was my wife’s love and prayers and tough love that got me to the place I wanted real change to happen. The result is I am in Bible school at night, and we adopted 2 kids from Ukraine in 2010. That is the fruit of a life yielded and a marriage transformed!

God is so good! Is that not amazing? 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. – Ephesians 3:20-21

    Dineen,
    I am crying right now. It is so encouraging to hear that testimony, I believe we as a community need to hear more of them like these! My situation my might be as desperate or as long as others, but it can get discouraging at times. I’m very grateful for being a part of this community!

    The video is touches a raw spot in light of this week’s school shooting. The world so needs to know The Lord. I wish I could hold the grieving parents.

    Amen! Thank you for sharing! Everyday the Lord is working in my marriage and making it better, but the last couples of days I have struggled wondering and thinking about all the hateful things that my husband had said, even though he no longer says them. This encourages me to keep praying! The Lord is faithful and change is inevitable! I know the Lord will move him to repentance and reaffirm his love for me. Lord has put His love and good treasures in my spouse just for me! Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for an obedient, sacrificing woman of God and wife!

    I don’t quite know why, but this testimony didn’t move me as much as I thought it would…or should.
    I should be rejoicing with Jeff & his family that he came to faith. I should have renewed faith that my own husband will find Jesus. But I don’t. I feel…neutral.
    I want to feel otherwise, but I don’t. Perhaps it’s because I’ve lost faith that my husband will come to Jesus one day, since he’s told me so many times that “I’ll never become a Christian” because it’s “not logical”. I guess I’ve just turned my feelings, and faith, off to protect myself from being disappointed yet again. I just try to be the best godly wife I can, and go through the motions of Christian life without him.
    He did come to church with us today, we were asked to light the candles on the Advent wreath and although he had planned to stay home, circumstances caused him to come. He also had the opportunity to hear the choir, of which I’m a member, sing a special service related to the Christmas story. As much as I want to hope that something sank in, I know he probably sat & enjoyed himself as much as he could under the circumstances. He feels a bit like a fish out of water at church, even though there are people from work there that he knows.
    So that’s my story for now, folks. I’m happy for Jeff and his family, but mine is likely stuck with the status quo. I’m not happy about it, but I’ve accepted it and have moved on. I’m tired of getting excited over every little thing that seems to give indication that my Hubby is getting closer to God. If he is, great, but it’s doubtful.
    Don’t get me wrong, he is a loving husband and wonderful father. He’s a good man and I love him very much. I’m just done hoping. I have faith that he’ll have many opportunities to say yes to God, but that’s where it ends.

    I hear you loud and clear, I certainly feel the same – to many years of this “HECK”. At times I am very discouraged, then I know that God is the only answer. I still need to live my life for him and gather strength from him. I can never control what my husband will do or the decisions that he will make – that is between him & God – to deal with.

It was my pleasure and joy to bring you before God today and pray against the enemy’s interference. When our hope rests in Jesus, we can have peace. And I think that’s what you’ve done.
