A Day for Healing

I am that woman!

When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the
crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes,
I will be healed.”-Mark 5 

IStock_000012497323XSmallI am that woman who is desperate for healing. And I know you
are this woman too. And even our men readers, you are in need of a Jesus who
heals. 

What I love about this story is this woman was so desperate
that she pushed her way through to Jesus in a crowd, forcing her way forward.
She was sick. She was tired. She was sick and tired of being sick and tired.
She was desperate. Can you relate? Are you this woman too? 

I’m desperate and I know so many of you are as well. We have
tried to face our demons, our sins, our struggles, our failures in our own
power and self-will but can’t help ourselves. We need to be desperate because a
desperate heart pushes forward to touch even the hem of His robe for healing. 

And the best part of this story isn’t that she was healed.
You know what it was? It was our Lord Jesus in His tenderness and love,
stopping the entire procession to find her. 

At once Jesus realized that power had
gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked,
“Who touched my clothes?“ 

Many a scholar has puzzled over this particular story. Why
did Jesus ask who touched me? Didn’t he know because after all He is God. But,
you know what Dineen and I think? Jesus wanted to hold her in His tender eyes
of love. She was that desperate for Him that He stopped everything to affirm
her. To encourage her…….. My friends, TO HEAL HER. 

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in
peace and be freed from your suffering. 

If only we could begin to understand the tender love of Jesus,
the healing power that is ours and our full identity in Christ, our world would
drastically change. But, as we struggle in this long journey toward the
Promised Land, we know that our Shepherd will lead us. He will bandage us. He
stops everything to affirm our hearts and He will heal us. 

So today as we have our last full day of community prayer,
it’s our day for healing. Ask the Shepard to be tender. Ask Him for healing of
the broken places in your soul, life and heart. Ask Him to make your paths
straight and to give you a glimpse of His glory. 

He tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young.- Isaiah 40:11 

Our prayer and fasting yesterday was extraordinary. And as
we gather in the House of SUM today, I pray that many of you found healing.
That you encountered the Jesus of the Bible. The powerful Jesus who by His
stripes, we were healed (past tense). 

But, if you are still waiting for your healing you can join me
as we reach out to our Jesus. Ask for healing and leave your healing requests in

    First I want to Praise God for beginning to HEAL a friend’s brother who was in a terrible accident resulting in brain trama that required emergency surgery. Thank you Jesus for bringing family & friends to their needs in interceding. He has come out of his coma with mobility and some speech. We thank you for faithful prayer partners and for your amazing grace.
    I am asking our Heavenly Father to deliver me from doubt. Please heal and remove the doubt in my heart. I KNOW that with God all things are possible, yet I am finding myself struggling to fully embrace and find the joy of truly believing and walk in the victory expecting the miracles He will work in my life. I know this is not from God. His living words consistently tell me to TRUST, BELIEVE, HOPE, and REJOICE.
    Thank you God for all you are, all you have done and you have yet to do. We give you all the praise and Glory.

    I would like healing of my right leg from hip to toes. This is a long standing injury that had gotten worse.by using muscles wrong for a long time. It has been a contributing factor to my weight gain and limits some activities. I am seeing a wonderful technician who is also a strong Christian man. But more healing is needed. I am asking God to heal it or use it as a reminder of how I need Him and have wrestled with Him in the past. I call it my “Jacob’s hip.”

    Right now I am asking for healing for my 9 year old son. Mark and I told him last night that we are seperated and he took it worse than I ever imagined. His heart is hurting so much, his first heartbreak and he was physically holding his chest from the pain. I pray this situation will bring him closer to God and that God heals his heart.

    Dear Abba, I pray for healing in my heart. I know that my circumstances where orchestrated by you for my protection, because of your great unconditional love for me. Lord, continue to heal my broken heart, and reveal to me, as only you can, what you desire for my life. Please guide me into a ministry to serve you and your people.
    Through this storm, I am excited and encouraged to see what miracles will come my way. I love you Daddy.

    Thank you God for bringing this specific story to our attention. I meditated over this exact story last week and let me tell you what God revealed to me. Jesus turned toward her and said “Daughter, your faith has made you well.” Did you catch that, YOUR FAITH has made you well. While reading in Mark I hear Jesus say over and over, your faith has healed you. We have the power of the Holy Spirit living in each of us. It’s our job to have complete faith and boldly approach the throne of God with our prayers. Really believe that God is who he says he is and know that he is willing to work in our lives. Obviously I’ve loved my walk through the book of Mark and God has used to to teach me some big lessons during this past month. 🙂 ?

    Healing for my children who have witnessed abuse by their father, the ability to forgive and love again and to have fun as children should. healing for myself from a broken heart and feeling like a failure. healing from years of abuse and restoration of my soul. healing for my beloved husband that he will find the God i know and let Him transform his life.

    Father let Your seeds of confidence today burst open and begin their growth in Kristin. Help her to literally feel the difference as the shell of doubt is cracked and confidence begins to germinate with Your light and water that she feeds her soul with.     Father I pray this young man will feel Your peace fill his heart in this day at this moment in an explainable way. Let him know You are always with him, his mother and his earthly father and even though he feels his family is being torn apart Father I pray You will whisper truth into his soul. I am trusting for You Lord God to block all that satan would attempt to throw into Mark’s thoughts at this time. I pray the Holy Spirit will speak louder than the enemy and Mark will hear love and only love so he will feel strengthened to walk through this fire and come out gold, as You mean for him to be in Your eyes. Let Your plans for this young man unfold in love, with great peace. Amen

    Jesus as Carmen walks through many emotions these days and in the days ahead I pray Your will is clear to her as her heart is so opened and willing for Your plans. Lord God guide Your precious child in the ways You have for her. Help her be strengthened each and everyday she feels she is walking alone. Help her feel Your Supernatural presence beside her every morning as she rises to Your fresh mercies. Help her feel You with her so strongly that she actually has to glance at Your “air” as You stand right beside her. Father I pray this in Your powerful name. Comfort, strength, wisdom.     I had 2 different friends who knew nothing of yesterday’s fast or anything on this website tell me that they had an overwhelming urge to pray for my husband yesterday. They were both very specific about the fact that they often pray for me and our marriage, but at different times in the middle of the day they found themselves praying exclusively for my husband. My one friend told me she had an appointment cancelled and at first she was annoyed, but then instinctively knew God had opened that time for her to pray for Jaryd. Again, 2 totally separate incidents and neither knew of what was going on in our SUM community. God NEVER fails to amaze me and show me that this victory is ours. Now, I’m just praying I will see the victory soon.

    At Mass today in his homily the priest talked about how God wants to heal us, and even prayed a prayer to ask for it at the end! This was what I could remember, but it was too perfect for us, for me not to share:
    God we ask that You would heal us, that You would restore our minds and our hearts, restore us to the men and women You created us to be. So that we can bring Your love to the people in our lives and to the whole world in need of Your healing and love

    Father You presence is needed here in Arielle’s family now. I am praying in great faith and trust from witnessing Your name glorified by many others who have testified of Your power in their families and so because of this proof I ask You now to do the same miraculous blessings in this family.     Father I come in prayer beside Carie to Your throne asking for Your wisdom and truth to fill her strongly in a confident way that she may boldly speak of Your existence and all it means to have You in her life. Help her plant the seeds of life in the souls who are empty and in great need of knowing You. Your desire is for us all to come to You. To know You, accept You and surrender our lives to Your plans and will. Help Carie, help us all God to fulfill Your desire. WE NEED YOU! Take over each opportunity that presents itself in a supernatural way that leaves us stunned Lord at the words we just spoke, at the love we share with the unlovable. Let each emotion we experience that satan wants control in be the opposite of what we act out. The opposite being Your way, not our’s. God, You are AMAZING! Help us clearly show others the proof that YOU LIVE in us! Father I desperately pray this for Carie because when we start stepping out, we will be singled out as odd. Help her be odd in a MIGHTY and BOLD way for You Jesus. Amen

    Father continue to amaze Dawn. We humans need Your presence felt to grasp how amazing this relationship is and can be and all that it might become. When you amaze us it empowers us. I pray Dawn will continue to feel this power daily through Your work in her life. The battle has already be won. We stand in victory.     Hello. Please join me in prayer for my health. About one week ago, I started with this stomach bug. I ended up in the hospital because I couldn’t hold anything down. I finally was able to eat this past week but still would manage to vomit (sorry). This morning at 3:30 am, usually the time He awakens me, I vomited blood. I am trying not to be scared. I work in the medical field and have seen so many stories. Please pray for me. God bless.

    Beautiful post. I accept these words as if God has spoken them to me. Recently diagnosed with an abnormal mammogram, which now requires me to have surgery for diagnosis. I am 46 with 2 children. “He gently leads those that have young” is a verse He gave me years ago as I navigate through our homeschool. I have prayed and asked for healing. I have asked God to simply remove the abnormal cells. Yes. I believe this post confirms God has heard my prayer. It is not a conincidence. Precious Father, thank you for being active and present in our lives. Thank you for the love, hope and promises you give us. All for your glory.

    Good Morning,
    I would like to request prayer for deliverance in my attitude. I have to say that part of this is not loving others as I should and I have been having difficulty in this area, especially when I am at work. So please pray that I will have the positive attitude and to learn to love others.

    My amazing journey with the Lord began 7 years ago. 17 years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and after friends prayed for my physical healing years ago I started to believe that maybe healing was possible. I have gone from it might happen to it will happen and now I know it already has happened!!! It is Finished I am not fighting for victory but from victory ground! By His stripes I WAS healed and I refuse to accept any thing that does not line up with the word of God. Year ago Psalm 103 spoke to me—“Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits who forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases!!” Thank You Jesus for loving me, draw me closer into your presence and help me keep my focus on YOU!!!
