Good Sunday Morning SUMites:

Lynn here. I want to greet you and welcome you to our annual week of fasting and prayer. We begin our fast tomorrow morning at sunrise. What is so amazing it that there are people from all over the globe who are fasting and praying in one accord through this week of the SUMite fast.

I’m convinced when we arrive in heaven we will be permitted to see and understand how our individual fasting and prayers were joined together in the spiritual realm and how we, The Sumites, impacted our world. I truly believe we are that powerful in our love and prayers.

Today, I want to ask you to consider what word or scripture verse or both God is leading you into for your current season of your life. Write them down in your Bible or somewhere that you can look at these again at the beginning of next year. It’s so important to give thanks to the Lord for the work He did throughout the year. It’s even more important for the building of our faith to realize God heard our prayers and that we actually had influence, through His love, to change circumstances. To fight the demonic and to live in righteous, joy and peace because we prayed.

I will remind you that prayer and fasting is not a way to spiritually twist the Lord’s arm into giving you what you want. True fasting is humbling yourself, denying yourself of a basic need/desire and pressing into a commitment to know the Lord better.

All prayer and fasting is about seeking Him first. Out of our time alone with our Father, that is where we then can step into our world, hear His voice, and then watch Him move in our circumstances.

Tomorrow Dineen or I will post a topic to pray about corporately and a prayer. Each successive day will be the same until we reach the end of our fast Friday evening.

For today, may I ask that you pray in the comments? You can pray one word. A name of someone for whom you are praying. You can pray a long prayer filled with all of your requests. Pray and let Dineen and I and other SUMites pray with you. Also, come back and pray for someone else and their heart’s requests.

We will be praying in agreement and my friends…….. that is why I am expectant.

I’m expectant that heaven will open. Jesus will walk among us. The words we speak put angels into action. And God, our Holy Lord of All, will move in love and power. And the best part???? We get to be part of it all and watch it all unfold.

We are living in the most exciting time on earth. So much is ahead for those who truly walk in humility and love.

Father,
This morning as we are getting ourselves and our families dressed and ready to go worship you, with your family we are excited and feel blessed. But Lord, there is an undercurrent of sadness in those of us who are going without our husbands. We commit this sadness to you, the God who sees us and our pain. Father, we know that one day these tears will turn to joy because you withhold no good thing from your children. Thank you God for the man you have given me to love and respect and bless him with satisfying work and a patient loving, encouraging wife who brings him joy for all his life.

THANK YOU Heavenly Father for Your constant FAITHFULNESS in our lives.
Thank You that YOU have Personally led each “lamb” present here to Your “pasture” to be fed and comforted not only by the rest of Your flock but also by Your chosen Shepherds of this ministry who have stayed the course for years in Your strength and have endured the trials in Your Presence. Thank You for Your Protective hand on their lives.
I pray our Spiritual senses are heightened in this time to the opportunities You unfold each day. I BELIEVE that we will EXPERIENCE a UNIQUE time of ONENESS with the Holy Spirit. I DECLARE as You whisper Your will for our lives in our obedience this week to fast, we will find GREAT encouragement to stay the course.
Help us to especially remember with overwhelming gratitude, in this week, the blood You shed on the Cross as the ultimate sacrifice for this life we are living. As we walk this week beside You Jesus to that Cross and INTO DEEPER waters I DECREE the life You have planned for us to live since the beginning of time will start to ACTIVELY UNFOLD before us with NEW and HEIGHTENED SPIRITUAL SENSES!
It is TIME to live in EDEN.

Dear Jesus please forgive me. The past few days I have taken my eyes off of you and put them on my circumstances and became depressed, agitated, impatient with the children and not a reflection of You or Your love. I thank you for your forgiveness and never leaving me nor forsaking me. I pray for this week of fasting and as we draw near to you, you will draw near to us and reveal yourself in an amazing way. Father I pray you will draw our prebelievers to Jesus and that they will come to their Damascus road. Help us keep our eyes on you and know that your grace is sufficient and how powerful that grace really is not just for eternity but for everyday life. We are expectant because you CAN do anything. My Brooklyn keeps singing “my God is so big, so strong and so mighty theres nothing my God can not do…for you!” And I know that is You reminding me through this precious child..thank you. Help us all to remember that. Thank you for all your blessings because there is so much to be thankful for. I love you so much. In Jesus’ holy name…AMEN.

As I was reading in my quiet time I felt an impression from the Holy Spirit and I believe it is for all of us. Exodus 14:15…Then the Lord said to Moses, “why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.” There’s a time for crying out to God prayers and there are times for God given authority bold/action prayers…I think we are in the time to use the authority given to us this week when we pray and fast.

Thank you Father for this community. Thank you for loving me when I am unloveable. I pray for my husband Jeff’s salvation, for the bondage of addiction to smoking to be broken in his life, and for healing in his body. Father I thank you for your constant presence even when we choose to ignore you. I thank you for the three words you’ve given me for this year: revelation, release and restore. I can’t wait to sit at your feet and learn all that you’ll reveal and then see how you use me in the lives of those around me. Father God,
I pray with my Sum Sisters above and those who will follow in prayer in these comments. I pray with them for Salvation for our pre-believers, for Rose’s husband Josh, for Kathy’s husband Jeff and all those who stand before you. Lord, I ask for scales to be removed from eyes, for hearts of stone to be melted and for dry bones to come alive. I pray against the darkness that envelops each and every one of them. I pray for chains to be broken, lives and marriages and families to be restored.
I pray that as we all walk forward, especially into this week of fasting, that your presence with us is felt. That as we strive to know you more, you reveal more to us. Your hands hung the stars in the sky, they were pierced for each and every one of us who are not worthy to even look upon you and yet…you offered yourself up for us, you carry us, you love us, you are faithful when we are faithless. You are strong when we are weak and all you want is for us to Seek you with all our hearts and to love each other with the love you’ve shown us. We are Expectant Father….Expectant because we have seen your work in our lives, in the good and the bad, the easy and the hard, we know You are with us, You are For us and that You have so much more in store for us than we can even imagine. Thank you Abba, for your love, thank you for those who teach and guide us; for Lynn and Dineen and this community. In your powerful and unmatchable name Jesus, AMEN.

These past two weeks have been like a punch in the stomach and a kick in the teeth, emotionally and spiritually. The enemy has held back no punches. So I cried out to God, please help! I’ve got nothing left, I’m defeated and my hope is gone. I’m asking You, Father, to renew my hope and raise me up again, strong. Well this morning, I walked into church and His hope poured over me, filling me with new joy and strength beyond measure. So I say, I’m still here, I’m still breathing, the God of peace has crushed the enemy under my foot. I’m standing strong in Christ! Thank You, Jesus! You have saved and delivered me. Father, You are good all the time and always faithful! This week of fasting, Lord, I’m asking to not just hear You but see You! As You have delivered me, I ask You, Father, to deliver my beloved Steve and my daughter Sara. Thank You Father, for I know You hear me as well as all sumites who are standing in the gap for our loved ones! Amen!

Dear Heavenly Father, first and foremost I want to thank you for restoring this broken vessel and giving me beauty for ashes. I thank you for your provisions and protection during this season away from my earthly husband. I know I had to be wrecked and broken, so that you could build me up to be the woman you meant me to be. I pray Abba, to continue to give me more and more of your presence, strength, knowledge and compassion. I thank you that you have delivered me from depression and fear, I thank you that you are for us and never against us. I thank you for loving us with an unconditional love.
I ask you father for the salvation of my husband Marco, I pray for his spiritual healing, I pray for you to reveal yourself to him and that his eyes, heart and mind will know that without you he can do nothing. For you and your love is all that Marco needs.
Abba, may Marco stop our divorce and may his heart love me again. May our marriage be rebuilt on the solid rock of JESUS Christ.

I feel a distance between My Father and I. I want to ask for prayers that the Holy Spirit may awaken my spirit more to Him as it was a few months ago. Something yucky is not being shaken from my spirit and I do not know what it is! I also want to pray for my unborn baby and that I may continue to take care of the gift God has given to my family and I. If I could ask for prayers for my friend Nina who is starting at square one, in despair, about her prevelieving husband who walked away from the faith. I pray she finds strength in The Lord and may never feel alone. I have been feeling very anxious about the upcoming semester (I am a dance teacher at night at a studio). I feel like I am being taken away from my family so I want to pray for better time management so I can serve my family as wife and mother as well as fulfill my duties as a dance teacher. Thank you in advance for the prayers and see you all tomorrow for the fast! (I will be doing a Daniel fast instead of just liquids!)

I will be praying the following Scriptures through this fast for miracles and breakthroughs in my and my people’s lives. I have been using this Scripture to pray for a couple of my friends in particular inserting their names asking the Lord to break through the impossible in their lives. I will be fasting from sweets and no lunch. And I will be listening for God’s further instructions to me.
Comfort for God’s People
Isaiah 40 “Comfort, comfort my people,”
says your God.

Tell her that her sad days are gone
and her sins are pardoned.

Dear Lord, thank you for always being with me, and please forgive me my sins. I pray for courage, also, for my husband’s well being. I’m praying the Lord will soften my husband’s heart to my mom. Also that he hears Jesus speak to him.

I feel like you’re saying that this year is about me. That you will give me good things. That i should expect good things! That I shouldnt even be surprised coz you love me and want the best for me. I pray for my prebeliever, David to accept you into his heart, and for him to see and hear you during this fast all around him, so he cannot denyyour existence. Also, show him how much you love him, regardless of past failures. I also pray for my health and healing in my hearing, diabetes, and colon. Help me to work out faithfully, help my body to lose weight, and become strong and toned, to have a vessel that would be a role model for my children. I also pray for the house that we need and desire, we have grown out of this one. Please lead us to the right one, price, everything. This is going to be a fast like no other. Big changes are coming, I can feel it to the very core of my being, for us here, and for the world. I’m fasting for myself, because I feel God is about to move me into real active ministry, right where I am.
I’m fasting for DH, for Him to know the truth, and come to Jesus, and for my children.
And then I’m fasting, for many more souls too, so many people have been placed on my heart over the last few years, and I sense that now is the time.

Father God,I humbly come before you,praying for a renewed relationship with you father God,I want to hear your voice always,please Strengthen my faith and hope in you.I am praying for all 9 of my children.Lord please work in their lives,show them the way they need to go,Show them where change is needed on their part,use them for your glory.Show them the error of their ways.Make them into the young men and women you know they are and the grown men and woman they will become.Give them love,peace,mercy and your grace today and always.Father God,I pray for restoration,renewal,& rebuilding of my family,for the love,communication & trust that has been lost now for over a year to be restored 100 fold.Father God,I pray for Jay to not only hear & feel you,but to do as you tell him.To know in his heart WITHOUT a doubt that we ARE family,& we ARE worth fighting for,that this is where HE belongs & always has,together with me & our 9 kids,Father God,I pray for doors to open that we need opened & that no man can shut them,for communication,love,understanding & forgiveness to be given.Father God,I pray ALL DOUBT,FEAR,& STUBBORNNESS,TO LEAVE & NEVER RETURN IN JAY’S HEART MIND BODY AND SOUL.Father God,I pray that Love wins,that hardened hearts melt & become flesh again filled with your love.THAT ONLY ONE TRUE LOVE THAT YOU GIVE RESIDES WITH US ALL FOREVER.Father God,I pray that ALL that was lost be restored 100 fold,that you Father God are the foundation of every step in ALL 11 our lives.Father God,I pray that Jay’s eyes,heart& mind is COMPLETELY opened & That he comes home SOON.Father God,I pray Jay’s gives his life,body & soul to you to use for his glory.Father God,I pray you show Jay EXACTLY HOW MUCH & DEEPLY MY LOVE STILL IS FOR HIM,That I have forgiven everything& ask the same from him.Father God I pray you show him THAT HE STILL LOVES ME,or If his love for me is lost that his love for me is RESTORED 100FOLD. Father, I’ve never fasted for a week before.. so this week will be challenging for me on many levels. Please give me the endurance and patience to pray through any hunger pangs so that I may grow closer to you in mind and prayer. Ryan (my husband) is still in a very dark place.. please Lord, bring him into the light. Please reach down and melt my husband’s cold heart so that he may be able to experience your love, mercy and blessings. He has a lot of hurt, scars and negativity from his childhood and I pray you will heal him. He has no desire to become a Christian and no yearning to get to know you Father. But I pray that you will place a desire in his heart Lord. Bring us closer together so that we may revel in your love and compassion that you have for us. Hear our prayers also for healing for me, as we struggle with infertility which has been another hard blow to our ego and lives. Dealing with a spiritually unequal marriage while also having to deal with fertility issues has been a hard chapter in our lives. However, I believe that when the timing is right, you will provide in the best way possible.
I’ve walked a very lonely road for the past few years Lord.. and it has been a difficult journey. I pray for healing for our small family, salvation for my loving husband, and an end to our fertility struggles Lord. During this brand new year, help me grow closer to you and help my faith grow in all that you have done and will do in the future.

Praying for the salvation of my husband, Ron, of 20 years, as well as his restored health. Praying for my young daughters Sonya and Nicole for them to restore their desire for Jesus. Also praying for answers/health restoration for Sonya’s migraines. Praying for myself that my faith will be strengthened and I will return to my first love, Jesus Christ. Praying for my best friend who is dealing with sin within her marriage that she has no control over. Last but not least, praying for Lynn, Dineen and my summite community. Love you all. May the Lord hear all our prayers and may this community fast strengthen all of our faith and restore us and our pre-believers! Heavenly Father, I am so thankful for Lynn and Dineen and their ministry! This place, where we can come and learn from You through them and the other SUMites. I delight Father, that I can return here and be so blessed, whenever, and especially at the 1st of the New Year, to find time set aside to come to You in prayer and fasting. As I read through those that came before me, I lifted and prayed in agreement (“amening” as well), knowing the heartaches and hardships of being spiritually mismatched or unequal yokes. I lift of the many, in need of surrender to You, for the salvation of their loved ones, whether children or spouse, knowing that You are at work in them and in us. I thank You for the work that You are doing in Sam and ask that You continue to reveal Jesus and his need to come to Jesus. I trust You that as Your Word says that You so loved Sam, and each one named and unnamed above, that You gave Your only begotten Son …” and if we do not want to see our loved ones perish, how much more You as their Creator and Father, desire them to turn … and come! I thank You for giving us Your precious Son Jesus. May Jesus come alive and awaken by His Holy Spirit each soul during this time of being refreshed and drawn to You. Putting You first, we seek only You. Draw us closer and breathe Your Word deeply into our very being so that we will be strengthened as we start this year with You. GO before us, behind us, along side of us and with us as we grow in You and more of the image of Jesus shine. Pierce the darkness and illuminate Your Truth more powerfully as we enter 2015 and move forward by Your Grace … meet each one and each need in Jesus’ precious name.

Father God, I am filled with so many thanks today. I sometimes forget to take time out, stop, and just thank you, Lord, for all of the wonderful blessings you have showered upon my life and the lives of those dearest to my heart. As I sat this morning and wondered what my word for 2015 might be, I felt the word ‘thanks’ settle on my heart. It is so important to be thankful and rejoice in all that you have done, continue to do, and just ARE. You are so wonderful and amazing and I thank you for putting peace and joy in my heart. Thank you Jesus for my beautiful family, my friends and this wonderful community of Sumites that are here to support one another in this sometimes lonely journey. This year, in addition to my endless prayer requests and cries to you, I will take time to just say thank you. Thank you Lord for this life.

Father, you have blessed Stacy in so many ways. Your daughter longs to be closer to you; to feel your undeniable presence in her daily life. I pray that you would help Stacy ‘find her breath’

Thank you Father that you hear the cries of Alisa’s heart. The pain has overwhelmed her at times.
I smile, Father, knowing that in Your impeccable timing, these challenges shall pass. Father, thank you that Ryan
will see your many miracles in his life, and be changed. How wonderful that day will be! In the meantime, let us
remember that every challenge does have a benefit (though not always easy to see). During this time, Father, I
Pray that you continue to refine Alisa, and prepare her for the blessings to come. You are so wise, and
you know everything about each of us. Remove from Alisa any fear or doubt she may be harbouring.
You made every hair on her head. And you shall bless her womb as you did for Sarah, Rebekah, Hanah and

Father God
I come in agreement in all things asked in Your will in this beloved Sumite nation of your loved and adored daughters. Father, thank you for Lynn and Dineen and their hearts to serve You. Thank you for drawing us closer to You during this time of fasting…strengthen us, encourage us….break any possible strong hold that the enemy has in our lives. We lift up our prebelieving husbands corporately and individually…we ask that You would crush the work of the enemy in their lives. That You would shine Your light and love so brightly that they would desire to know You Father, that they would desire to draw close to You Father. That they would see You as who you say you are in Your Word. And Father if there is anything not pleasing in our lives as Your daughters…could You show us, please. Could you search our hearts….help us to repent and give us strengh and mercy in doing so. As You know we are only formed of your dust…Father God.
Jesus you know our hearts please direct us as we pray, repent, and fast this week…. We need only You Jesus. Forgive us if we have made our lives about anything else than YOU.

Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for all that You are doing in our lives. Thank You for Your faithfulness and the strength and joy that you give us in the midst of the storms in our lives. You are in the storm, Lord, and we trust You. We understand that sometimes it’s the storm that gets us moving to where You want us to be, whether in our spiritual life, circumstances, or both. Thank you for the supernatural fruit You allow us to bear as we pursue an intimate relationship with You in trust and love. During this time of fasting, make us very aware of Your presence and Your calling upon our lives. Guide us and use us as we trust and obey You. We seek to do Your will and we ask that Your Will be done in every area of our lives because You already know Your plans for us. We know that You will protect us from the enemy and we ask that you would surround our prebelievers with your angel armies. May Your will be done in their lives and may Your presence be all around them, that the enemy may not come near. I pray specifically for the spiritual battle that my husband is facing and I thank You, Lord, for taking over that battle completely while we are separated. I know that You have already won the victory, no matter how long it takes for Your promise to be fulfilled; all of your promises are a “yes” in Jesus Christ. We walk by faith and not by sight and when we hope for what is not yet seen, we wait for it patiently and expectantly. Thank You for showing me how to pray for him and thank You, Lord, that your Holy Spirit intercedes for all of us with groans that words cannot express. Help us to trust in You every moment of every day and believe in your miracle working power so that we cannot become discouraged. May we hold on to Your Promises, Lord, and claim them by the authority of the Holy Spirit. And most of all, Lord, may we always remember that the STRONGEST weapon against the enemy is praise and worship. No matter what, help us to praise you and sing worship songs to you and know that You are in control! In Jesus’ holy, precious, and powerful name, Amen!
