Day 2: Altar Offerings

My friends, my heart is so full of love and awe-of you! Reading your comments the last two days…I’m so touched and blown away by your prayers for Lynn and I and for each other! Wow! I can just see Abba nodding His head with pride and pointing out this online community to the heavenly host and saying, “See? This is what the body of Christ really looks like." 

Wow, wow, wow…

And it’s with that full heart that I share today what God spoke to me about our community. On Sunday as I was worshiping at church I was also praying for the words to share this week, for whatever was on Abba's heart for us.

The word "annihilation" came clearly to me. Now that's a pretty strong word and not one I use often. I asked Abba to clarify, to help me understand His heart. And this is what He revealed for our SUMite community:

Annihilation of all fear, doubt and unbelief. I am declaring a "holy war" on all fear, doubt and unbelief. 2015 will be a "Year of Freedom."

I am lifting this community up to a whole new level of strength and belief. In Me. In My Word. In My promises. No more of the old. The New is in place and now I will reveal it. My strength is yours and all you need I have already provided. Your strength is found in Me and Me alone. I am your destiny. I am your hope. I am your future. It is done. 

Believe ME. 

As I wrote this down, my friends, I began to sense that today God is asking us to put an offering on the altar, to release those things we've been holding onto:

This is our holy offering, our incense to the Lord. There is significance to the offering and "the burning" (releasing) of that which we place there. This is an act of faith, a choice to let go more than we ever have and to trust God even more, a deeper trust than ever before.

It is an act of love.

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. – Ephesians 5:1-2

Take time today or in the morning to sit quietly and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what God is asking you to give to Him, to trust Him with. Then make that offering. Write it in your journal, because I believe that later this year Abba will take you back to this moment and show you what He has done with your offering.

My friends, share what you are offering up to the Lord in the comments so that we may pray for each other. As I said, this is an act love, and it's also an act of faith and trust. Not an easy thing to do, but when we make the choice and offering, I believe the Holy Spirit comes to help us walk in trust and faith. We are not required to provide the sacrifice, just to have a willingness to let go and trust, just as Abraham did with his son Isaac. 

And of course, share any breakthroughs you are having and let’s be encouraged together!  

King Jesus, we offer these “things” we've held on to, our selves and our pre-believers to you today as a holy offering, sweet with the aroma of our love and adoration for You. We pray that it pleases You and brings you great glory. We praise You now for what You will do with these offerings-what only YOU can do because You are Holy and Mighty and Faithful! 

Abba Father, we believe YOU. Make us strong and raise us up as You have declared. In the Powerful name of Jesus, amen!

    I don’t have to think long on this one; God has been dealing with me for two months about anger. Long story, but I finally got the message. So, I will join in praying with others on this fast who might list this also.

    In my quietness this what I offered up my pre-believer, worry, doubt, fear, shamefulness, anger, resentment, un-forgiveness, control, pride, frustration, confusion. He so gently reminded me that He loves me without any conditions. That I must draw near to Him amd in doing so, I will see His what He can do. Day one of my fast was not succesful. Please pray that I stay focus on His Words and not the enemies. Praying for all the SUMites who are struggling to let go. We can do this with God’s help. Amen

    Willfulness, pride, pains and hurst, my pre- believer and unbelief. Thank you Lynn for helping to make it clear to me where Jesus is taking me. Only a change in me will help my relationship with my husband and his unbelief. I pray that He will continue to reveal to me what my actions towards my husband should look like. Thank you for this ministry and for pointing us always to Abba.

    I’m leaving doubts at the alter….I keep hearing over and over in my quiet time this morning:
    “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
    I have no doubts that God is with me and for me, it’s the strong and courageous part that keeps getting repeated. Self doubts in my abilities and in the knowledge I have. I suffer from peacekeeping at times and do not stand up for what I know is the truth nor share what I am thinking sometimes (even when I can feel that proding to say something) because I don’t want to upset friends or because I’m afraid they’ll be disappointed if I do not do what they want (yes, people pleasing goes hand in hand with my peacekeeping)…BUT GOD 🙂
    Father, thank you for commanding me & guiding me to be strong and courageous. I pray this morning and leave this spirit of doubt that has rattled around with me for far to long, at the alter. I pray and seek you in all aspects of my days. Fill me with wisdom and discernment, truth and love, so much so that there is no room for doubts. Thank you for annihilating these things we struggle with, for your constant and loving work in us….you have commanded us to be strong and courageous and with You, how could we not be? For, YOU make the weak strong, the poor rich, the hungry full. Our Hope is in You Jesus, YOU renew our strength, We will soar on Eagles wings, we will run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint. Thank you Abba. In Jesus powerful name, Amen.

    There is so much for me to leave on the alter but as I am reading I heard “lack of patience” ugh…its true and I have been struggling with that for years in every area of my life and embarrassingly I admit I have been reminding God that I have been standing for my marriage for almost 4 years and thats a long time!!! Yesterday He did give me a glimpse of an area he has been guiding my husband in and I was amazed. Thank you father for being so kind and gentle in showing us what we need to do.
    I am asking for prayer cause last night after I ate at sunset my body seemed to shut down. I had to go on the couch and I felt I couldn’t move, I was freezing, got an excruciating headache and an overwhelming feeling of depression fell on me. My ear started a few days ago with a static noise and it became painful last night. Im foggy and slight headache this a.m. but its hard to focus when I feel like this.

    Oh wow. This is clearly Holy Spirit. I wonder if anyone else here is going to BSF. This week’s lesson is on Leviticus and sacrifices. Last night we looked into grain offerings, fellowship offerings, sin offerings and guilt offerings. Awesome picture of Christ. One of the ladies in my group last night shared this insight: when the animal was offered, often times it had to be cut to pieces and organs had to be separated and placed on the altar part after part. The same thing happens to us, the sword of the word penetrates, cuts into the inner most being, opens us up, separates, reveals, before God we are open as a sacrifice. We are cleansed, healed, and restored through the sacrifice of Jesus.

    Day 1 with Jesus sitting with us at the well I realized for me personally He meant, deeper into living water.
    His Word is Powerful and His Word lives in us to use.
    Sunday at church the word in the message I received was
    “Use the Supernatural Power in you.”
    Yesterday morning on day 1 of our fast a sign on my cupboard “suddenly” fell down to the counter and BROKE. It didn’t surprise me as much in the action as it did for the fact that it fell? I open and close that cupboard hundreds of times. WHY would it fall NOW?
    As my day began with leaving my dog with a relative to doggy sit for the day, I no sooner got to work and received a phone call from her crying in hysterics.
    My dog had attacked one of her cats!
    I immediately raced to her side and in seeing what my dog had done I too was devastated at this “BROKEN BODY ON THE COUNTER!”
    God showed me that very morning in the moment that sign fell off my cupboard. He goes before me, therefore He is in control.
    The “word sign” that fell from “above” to “break on the counter” said…
    “It’s all good.”
    I posted Ezekiel 36:26 in day 1 of our fast and here it is in my devotion this morning.
    So what do I lay at the altar as a sacrifice?
    My heart.
    I had so many lessons to come through regarding my heart and yesterday some prebelievers “fragranced” the air around me MORE through acts of compassion, forgiveness and comfort in this tragedy than I experienced from believers? This morning what my Heavenly Father helped me see in the LIGHT of this day was that even though many may not know Him yet as I do, and even though their level is not the level I am on, they recognize the WAY this world SHOULD be and I received through them a “Fragrance” of His Heart in this time of regret for my actions that caused sudden loss and grieving. Forgiveness was poured out on ME as I entered “the crime scene” and loving support was received from my husband who rushed to my side from his work day because he knew I needed to be lifted up. In each of these moments I could hear the whisper in my ear to acknowledge these actions.
    These “fragrances” of LOVE from God’s heart poured out on me.
    I was humbled. Yet again.
    My heart has been turned from stone to flesh and therefore The Spirit is more alive in me but now as I sacrifice it on the altar…
    NOW comes the work of ALIGNING it with the HEART OF GOD.

    Great works of the Lord; pondering what all has been said here already, I wanted to do something special for the Lord on my birthday today, He brought the words ” holy sacrifice and offering” to give to Him on my 54 years of life. Wow, I am floored, He overwhelms me with such joy; He wants to take all my controlling ways that I have been dealing with my husband (Ed)’s dental suffering of 17 years; I watch Ed everyday live with dental pain that was inadvertently a result of dental work; this situation changed our lives, Ed continues in bondage and feels God has forgotten him and does not care. So, I release all fear, all unbelief, all doubt, all controlling, all resentment, all anxieties, all the pain that surrounds this situation to God, take them Lord, I don’t want them anymore, cast this weight off my mind and spirit. I trust You can take care of Ed for me. Thank you,Lord, I extol You with all my heart, thank You Jesus!

    It snowed here today.. and as I was driving to work, God placed a thought into my head. I was nervous about controlling my car, driving carefully while having white knuckles and being anxious. And it occurred to me..this is how I’m living my life. God is in control of my “car” if you will and I keep trying to take the control of the wheel and doing the best I can. This is not how I should be living my life.. God is in control of my life. I’m just along for the ride 🙂
    My prayer today: I lay down my control issues Lord, trying to control my pre-believing husband, trying to control my fertility issues, my neighbors, my doubt/fears and disbelief. I pray you will take them from me and fill me up with your love, your promises and your words. Help me to stop trying to take the wheel, but believe in all the good that you have promised for my life. Thank you for all you’ve done, and all you will do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    King Jesus, right now in Your Holy Name, we stand against the enemy’s plan to unseat and pull Deborah down. In the name of Jesus, this spirit of depression must flee and not come back. In the name of Jesus, I release clarity and strength into Deborah, that with clear eyes she will see the plot of the enemy and cast him away before he is even able to start his attack. His plans against her are declared a failure and can’t touch her. Lord, surround Deborah with Your protection and presence. Fill her with JOYOUS EXPECTATION today! In the Mighty and Powerful name of Jesus, amen!

    “lack of patience” That is what I offer to Abba also. Deborah, I understand where you are coming from. I have standing for my marriage for MANY years and don’t believe I have seen evidence of how God is working in my husband’s life. I also must offer up doubt, because I so often doubt that any change will happen.

    Thank you ladies for ALL the posts!! God is so good and He WILL do it!!! I echo what everyone has posted and could go on w/ the details of family drama that has been unfolding for a few months now concerning my adult children, which led me to begin a partial fast about 20 days ago, intending to end on Jan 1 but because of Lynne and Dineen and the SUM girls and even MORE family drama, I am fasting from all food until Friday evening and continuing to fast from coffee, potato chips and chocolate for 40 days. My heart, my sin, the bondage and strongholds (which includes ALL those things listed!)my family relations, our finances and my hubs … all are on the alter. Our God is BIG so I am asking BIG!! I am expecting miracles and God IS working! The reality of taking “one day at a time” has a new look for me. I’m not worried about tomorrow, it has enough trouble of it’s own. Today, feeling the physical effects, Abba reminded me of what Jesus said to the disciples in the story of the Samaritan woman at the well, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” Clearly spiritual. Let us eat and drink well from the same source as our beloved Savior did as we offer ourselves as living sacrifices so He is glorified. I love you all!!

    Lord Jesus, I know you delight in Martha. You see her precious heart and its desire for more of You. King Jesus, banish this spirit of anger from Martha’s life forever! Rebuke it and forbid it from ever coming back. Fill her with Your great compassion and love-give her a double portion so that any unrighteous anger is diminished and cast out immediately by its great and wonderful presence. Your presence, Lord. Surroung and infuse her with Your fragrance, Jesus. Amen!

    God took me on an amazing scripture journey this morning. But quickly I want to share the first scripture. Isaiah 58 tells us what true fasting is, how to do it, and what the result will be. I found this passage to be very exciting! Especially for our fellow Summites. I believe His word for us today, is found in verse 12. “Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; (are you ready for this ?!) you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
    God is so Good! All praise and thanksgiving to Him.

    Feeling somewhat bewildered, and definitely defeated, I began fasting with all of you yesterday. With all that has transpired in the last year, you would think I would be joyfully expectant for marriage reconciliation and restoration. Yet, communication with my (ex)husband has been completely cut off because I failed to let go and let God speak the truth that I ushered in with my own mouth…and it certainly was unwelcome. Other believers around me urge me to let go and move on, yet my heart is heavy. I looked back at my journal entries during the fast last year, and I’m seeking much the same…complete surrender. Yet I’ve learned so much, and it’s difficult to keep it all in practice…know what I mean? The song I’m waking up with this week is “Completely” by Among the Thirsty. It speaks volumes to me. I want so much to surrender, to mature spiritually, to relinquish my expectations, my will, my dreams so that the Holy Spirit can replace them with the Lord’s perfect plan and purpose for my life. Only God knows the plan for each of us, so please open our spiritual eyes and ears to hear and KNOW. Praying for all the SUMites. We are a community of Believers, and we can bring the Kingdom to all those in our lives. Amen!

    Jody, I know what you mean! Some days I feel bewilderment and frustration with the seemingly unchanging situation but once we turn off the world and turn to Gods word we are given wisdom and encouragement. Galatians 6:9 says Let us not grow early while doing good for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart”.
    My word for the year I got was, “wait”. Not necessarily my favorite. Lol! After your post today I hear that I need to offer up my fear in my marriage and doubt that creeps into my life. I do not need to fear that my husband will try to leave again, or fear his depression and many problems. My hope comes from The Lord for He is my rock and I will not be shaken. (Psalm 62:5-6) I will be still and WAIT expectantly for the glorious unfolding that WILL happen in all our lives. So happy I have other SUMites in the same boat!

    I keep hearing “WAIT” and “HOPE”. I am reminded to not look to the circumstances for “signs” but keep my eyes on Jesus. Thank you for the encouragement…the most important thing each of us needs in this walk. Joyful expectation…expectation for miraculous changes in ourselves and our spouses. Such miracles will certainly point the way for many to acknowledge God’s mighty hand. When there’s nowhere to turn for support, we can gather here and enourage one another. Sometimes this walk is lonely but we never have to do it alone. Blessings and miracles for all!

    My word for 2015 is obedience. I am laying my fear and doubt of what I know God has called me to do at this time in my life. I am also laying my husband, my sister and her husband, at the alter. I have already seen God work in their lives in so many ways over the last couple of months. I believe this is the year for them to come to believe that Christ is Lord.

    Praise the Lord! He is good! Yesterday, when I began fasting, I received this verse:
    Isaiah 58:6 “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?”
    This morning I heard that someone I prayed for yesterday experienced freedom from satan’s bonds today and is praising God. God is moving mightily. Rejoice greatly, for the Lord is answering our prayers! Let us continue to break every yoke in our lives and the lives of our loved ones in Jesus’ mighty name! Lifting you and all whom you are praying for all up in prayer,

    Thelm!!!! Oh my I know your heart and KNOW this had to be a traumatic day for you. I am so sorry this traumatic event occured. I weep for you and your pain in this.
    Father God, thank you for sending David to intercede on your behalf. You know Jo’s heart in these matters and love her so much, how perfect it is that you sent David, a man after her heart, from the God after her heart. Thank you Father for coming to our sisters rescue. Thank you for showing David, Jo, and us what love looks like! In Jesus name Amen!
    I can’t help but think, and think often that this verse is not just speaking of David in the bible, but your David. What special things God must have planned for him…..

    Alisa,
    I know that feeling all to well, being in an anxious moment, frightened and sometimes to frightened to think out a prayer. I have been in that place to and have tried to quickly change my circumstance within in my control rather than take a deep breath slow down and talk to Daddy.
    Father God, please rush in with your whispers of hope in the anxious moments. Place Your words on Alisa’s lips to pray in her moments of confusion and fear, that instills doubt. Father I pray this for all our sumites, I know there are many that struggle with this daily. In Jesus name Amen.

    Validation ??
    This word has been hitting me hard, it is hard to even say, I would much rather keep it inside, it incompasses so much pain for me. My WHOLE life I have been HEAVILY burden with feelings of deep inadequacy and the fall out of that possion. Looking at the list here of things to annihilate I feel if I put “validation” on top the words below discribe its hurt. Validation has lead me down a slippery slope of bad choices, giving in’s, settling,and people pleasing, because your not worth it or can’t measure up. Oh, all is not lost and the healing has begun (about 3 or more yrs ago), but recently recognizing what I have been healing from, is a shameful pain and a feeling of inadequacy in itself. I know I have a battle in front of me, to not seek valudation of the world but to banish it and KNOW my validation is found ONLY in my Heavenly Father.

    Father God, I want to thank you now for placing Lynn and the need in our lives as spiritual leaders. And I come to you now on their behalf asking for peace, rest, discernment, protection, and revelation as they go fearlessly before us in prayer devotion. Father align your angel armies circled around Lynn and Dineen, protecting them from the battle that rages around them, we know there will be much battle, as they draw swords, in battle for this community. I pray this in Jesus name, amen!

In Jesus you have become more than adequate, you have become an overcomer, victorious, amazingly beautiful, the bride of Christ clothed in His glory. He bore all your shame and it was crucified on the cross with Him. He counted death on the cross as nothing for the joy of having you walk with Him and hold His hand for the rest of your life.     This morning I read your post, Dineen, and I prayed and asked God to tell me what I need to place at the altar. I couldn’t really think of anything. In my quiet time with the Lord I prayed again, what do I need to release? I heard “pain.” But, I thought, I don’t have much pain. That can’t be it. But again, I heard, “pain.” I didn’t really get it. Until I started reading my daily devotional, which falls in John 6 today. Verse 66: “At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him.” It immediately reminded me that my husband was a follower of Jesus who turned away and deserted Him. My husband left me standing there with Jesus, where I have remained…but he left me feeling so abandoned and lonely. That’s when it hit me like a ton of bricks – that is my pain, and I have been holding on to that pain for a very long time. I’ve held onto it so tightly that it has eaten away at my affection for my husband. So today, I lay that pain at the altar. I release my pain to you, Lord. Restore my affection for my husband, in Jesus name.

    Heidi, amen to what Rose said. So beautiful. And girl, I totally get that! Abba took me on that journey too. I know it’s hard but He will bring you through it to freedom. Last year the Holy Spirit put this phrase in my head over and over again. It would just randomly pop up like a reminder:
    “You have nothing to prove.” And I would repeat it back, “I have nothing to prove.”
    You have nothing to prove, my dear friend, because Jesus has made you complete with all you need to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit is showing you this pattern so you can “capture every thought and bring it captive to Christ.” This is good, so so good! I am rejoicing for you because your freedom is coming!
    Lord Jesus, bring Heidi to perfect peace and alignment with You and Your heart as You walk her through her healing. With each step, help her embrace more and more of You unending and unconditional love for her. And Lord, rebuke every evil spirit working against her to keep her in this place of pain and shame. These are lies and not the truth, not Heidi’s reality. Her truth is You, Lord Jesus, and Your Word says she is holy, righteous, redeemed, precious in Your sight, a jewel in Your crown, chosen, and dearly loved. And more! Bring the full realm of these truths to her heart, Lord Jesus, amen!

    Oh Britnee, wow, this is huge, my friend. Thank you for sharing this here. I am in tears for you reading this. I see you standing there with such pain in your eyes as you are looking back at your husband walking away. I feel your pain and hurt. And you know what? Jesus did and does too. He’s right there in front of you waiting for you to turn around and walk into His arms of love and comfort. He will heal your broken heart, my friend.
    Lord Jesus, thank You that you never left Britnee’s side through this. Thank You, that You’ve been standing there, just waiting for her to bring it all to You. Now her healing can begin. Lord, restore her heart to fullness and love, for You and for her husband. Pour fresh love and affection into her heart for her husband and show her what You’re love can do. She has everything she needs in You, Lord Jesus! We praise You and give You all the glory for this astonishing and all encompassing love! Thank You, Jesus, amen!

    Oh Rose, God bless you for your healing words to our sister Heidi! I have to tell you, although they were meant for Heidi, they couldn’t have ministered more to me than if Jesus were speaking them to me himself. As I was reading and praying through everyone’s posts today, I got to your reply to Heidi and I couldn’t even make it through one full sentence without bawling my eyes out. It must have taken me 15 minutes to read your entire reply between all of my tears. I was crying so hard my three year old son came running to me crying himself and asking me if I was ok. I am going to print out what both you and Dineen wrote as a wonderful reminder of our Daddy’s heart for each of us. I guess I really needed to hear those precious words! Thank you so much! Praying in agreement with you and Dineen for the love of Christ to overwhelm our sister Heidi on this very day!!

    Much needed post Dineen! I am so grateful for your patience to wait on what God wants you to say and your heart to hear His voice so clearly!
    In addition to just about everything on your list, the Lord also whispered “striving” to me today. Trish’s guest post on striving back in December really opened my eyes to this problem in my life. In this world of do it yourself and never getting to the spiritual place I long to be fast enough I just can’t seem to stop trying to make changes my own way or get to where I want to be in my own time table. I was gently reminded..yet again..of my need to lay striving down on His alter and let Him do what He needs to do in His own time. The battles are His to fight…not mine. I need to keep my eyes on Him and WORSHIP WORSHIP WORSHIP! Love and peace to each of you in this amazing community!

    Oh my Gosh!! I completely love the way Abba coordinates our lives. I personally have been asking our Lord to break strongholds in my life. Most consistently, the stronghold of “victimhood”. I’ve been dealt some unfair (in my eyes) struggles throughout my life and have in the past thought of my struggles as a mental banner to keep me encased in a victim mentality. Well no more!! Abba brought this up in my quiet time several months ago, and I have been praying daily for this “comfortable” mindset to be broken. I begin each day declaring that I am victorious and no longer a victim. So I lay this on the foot of the cross and ask Abba to annihilate this from my life, along with fear and doubt.
    I thank you Abba for loving me so much that you know exactly what and when I am able to receive your words of encouragement.
    Another thing that Abba spoke to me yesterday was, what I believe are my words for this year – FORGIVENESS and TRUST!! Yikes!! I thought that I had already forgiven Marco, but sadly Abba whispered in my ear that I still have areas that I need to forgive my husband and trust and surrender unto God.
    Wow!! Loving how the Holy Spirit is moving in this fast.

    Oh my goodness my Golden Joy. I can only imagine the anguish that you went through yesterday. But I am soo amazed at how what the enemy meant for evil was turned to good. Not only did our saviour show up mightily through prebelievers, sent you a precious message…but He also sent David to comfort your heart!

    Dineen,
    I am leaving Pain, Grief, Brokenness,Unforgiveness, Bitterness,and anger at the feet of Jesus. My husband fell away from the Lords a couple of years ago and since has told me he no longer wants me as his wife. We have been married 21 years. Turning things over to Christ has been one of the most difficult things I find in my walk to do. I pray for continual guidance and direction from God.

    Last night I prayed that today would be the day that all my walls would be destroyed. This morning I get up and read this post and thought “WOW!” I was just praying about this last night.
    Annihilation is a good synonym for what I prayed for. I offered up my wall, my self protection, my pride, my distance form others. I left it all at the foot of cross.
    Holy spirit lean on me, remind me, stop me any time I try to pick that wall back up as I lean on You for my strength, my joy. Hold me close.

    Praise the Lord. I have a friend who has been in a SUM for many years, prayed for her husband all those years and believed in God’s power but knowing her husband not so confident that he would come to Christ BUT GOD…November 16 (my daughters bday lol) her husband went to church (miracle one) and stood up to accept Jesus and went forward for prayer!!! Since then things are not perfect BUT he reads his Bible everyday and prays with the family. Thank you Jesus!!! This just lifted me up and gave me such encouragement! Remember God can do the same for us!!! I feel like my word for this year is miracle but Im so hesitant and feel like its too big of a word for me.. Im still praying about it!

    First, I want to thank God for this community, for this amazing experience of fasting to begin this year stronger. I want to thank God for each experience shared on this site, that brings light to so many. I want to thank God because I am not alone in this journey.
    My word for this year is LOVE. Last sunday a priest held my hand, looked at me and just said “love”. It was minutes after I was asking Jesus to fill me with love so I can love in return, everyone, specially my pre-believer 🙂
    I am offering up to the altar my husband, our marriage, our health, my fears and doubts. My sadness, pain, judgement, envy. I want to stop being attacked by the enemy and I want my husband to know and feel the amazing joy of knowing he’s loved by Jesus.

    Amen to both of you, God took me to Texas from Canada to teach me about this and STILL I find myself stultifying with it.

    ( cute anecdote, my oldest, 6, is learning about self control in his journey and he sees it as a video game, or a Pokemon, w Jesus pushing the buttons/ issuing commands 🙂 )

    Lord, what do I need to let go, and offer to you?
    My physical comfort
    My tendency to discouragement, when my day is not flowing easily ( surrender instead)
    My tiredness- pour yourself out in love
    My willfulness-striving, always trying to fix things, God is the divine architect! and unwilling to serve others at times: WHAT IS THE MOST I CAN DO?)
    My kids – I am still holding on, they must be on His hands, not mine. Also I still tend to respond w anger when they interrupt me.
    I’ll be honest, I need some help, w a lot of this, just having it on the list, let alone the true reality…

    I am blown away by your post Dineen, bless you, your prayer spoke straight to my heart and really challenged me. I am still working through what exactly I need to leave at the altar, I’m finding it difficult. I think I might know but it is so engrained in me I can’t see clearly. Praying for discernment and wisdom and revelation. Feel like I can’t think straight!
    My husband got poorly yesterday with flu and his chronic pain conditions have flared up and he’s miserable and irritable. Also he has been having nightmares for several weeks. All about death and murder and really dark stuff. I feel like he is under attack from the enemy. But I take that as encouragement! The enemy has had to up his game because I believe my husbands heart and soul are being stirred up and his salvation is coming soon. I am declaring this over him and covering him with the precious blood of Jesus.
    Today, as well as my husband being poorly. Today my grandad was diagnosed with an aneurysm. And my car broke.
    Yet the only thing that keeps going round my head is “all is well”. This is a big breakthrough for me! Thank you Lord!
    I’m praying for you all and your prebelievers and standing with you in agreement. God bless. We serve an almighty God! He wears the victor’s crown and has defeated the enemy lt is done!

    Thanks ladies! I’m excited about this year of healing and restoration for my family. I agree with you both that God will restore our families and salvation in near for so many of our spouses. God has changed my husband so much! Now he’s been focusing on things I need to change. A few words came into my heart; pain and hurts of old offenses.

    Thanks Dineen! I would have to say that I really want more of HIM this year and less of me. I want to get to that place of total 100% submission and dependence on HIM. I not only want to hear HIS voice but I want to be able to promptly obey HIM as well so that I can experience the miracles, signs and wonders that HE wants to do through me. I now this can be a scary thing to ask since there will definitely be moments of discomfort but I know the rewards on the other side of these acts of obedience will be so worth it 🙂

    Thank you! So many tears today, tears that are hard to explain. Tears that seem be mourning for Heidi, I know that sounds weird, but it’s true (bawling harder as I write). I feel like with each kind word spoken here today, that God is lifting another sufficating veil, that theatened to snuff Heidi out. The Heidi that was before all the hurt. The love that is washing over this little girl I once knew is so overwhelming that I have to take it in small doses. I waited till my husband went to bed before reading again to reply. I knew he be worried seeing me this way, not knowing. Thank you so much for the healing balm.

    Gill, I just see you weighted down with these burdens and Jesus doesn’t want you like this. He wants you to stand tall and light and look to Him. Today, He’s lifting your chin to see Him as He’s taking those burdens off of you.
    Lord Jesus, thank You for Your heart to lift Gill up today and make her burdens lighter because You are the one carrying them, not her. Fill her with so much joy today that she finds herself laughing out loud randomly for no apparent reason, other than You. Thank You, Jesus! Amen!

    I have a weird one: I’m giving up “my right” to be difficult with my husband’s girlfriend. I don’t hate on her, but I act awkward around her. I know for sure she is in this for a reason. She needs Christ, NOT another woman’s husband. And I am most likely the only Christian she knows. Please pray for me.
