Hello Sumite Family – Church Without Walls. 

Can you believe it’s already the last day of our fast? Reading through the comments has been amazing. I have prayed for all of you. This has been an amazingly sweet time with our Lord. And as I spoke to Dineen yesterday about this fast, we marveled at all God has done, the tenderness He has displayed and the answers to our petitions. 

Dineen and I paused a moment and we turned our conversation to prayer: Jesus, we sure hope Rosheeda Lee is watching our community from heaven. What she started here years ago, this annual fast, has had lasting impact on us as individuals. Lord, we know that the prayers and declarations spoken during this tender time will bring about great glory for Your name and bring many into Your Kingdom. Lord, Jesus please hug Rosheeda for us. We love and miss her. Amen. 

I know many of us are praying for breakthrough. And I have to share my breakthrough with you. It was quite unexpected. Before I do, however, I want to speak to those of you who haven’t had your breakthrough and those who feel disappointment. Perhaps, like me, breakthrough came in an area your weren’t praying about. For me personally, I received an answer for prayer that I started praying two and half years ago. So, don’t be disappointed. Instead, ask God to show you where He was working in your life this past week. 

On Thursday morning I was sitting in my backyard next to a gentle and warm fire, sipping coffee from my Broncos mug and reading my Bible and praying. All was right with the world. When all of a sudden my husband texts me and asks me if I sold some stock. 

Text Back: No, What is going on? Did someone hack our account? 

I go into full-on panic mode as this is the little bit of money I have saved for my daughter’s college education. The funds are small and only cover another semester so we can’t afford to lose a dime. After they are exhausted I have three more semesters to pay for and I haven’t a clue where the money is going to come from. 

I began praying about our lack of finances for college back when she started school in 2013. I prayed and still pray asking for provision. I trust. I look at my small account. I panic. I pray again. I trust. I mostly lean into trusting God because after all, He arranged her education. 

Well after my panic over my husband’s text, I call my husband and he reminds me that our new “finance” guy is moving things around. However, he wasn’t supposed to touch this account. So, my husband gets off the phone to contact our guy to find out what’s going on. And in THAT SPECIFIC MOMENT the Lord spoke. 

“Lynn, you have asked me to help you provide for college. So I sent you this guy.” 

Now get this. This man works with my husband. He’s absolutely brilliant. The kind of brilliant where he tests out on the IQ Test- Mensa. He works as one of the company leaders in computer technology. On top of that he’s also a Certified Public Accountant. He handles investments for about 10 people, we are one of them. And ON TOP OF THAT…. 

Now get this: He’s an ordained pastor. 

Now when God sends a guy to help you out, He doesn’t fool around. Brilliant, Computer Genius, CPA…. AND A PASTOR…. I think our college funds are in good hands and it’s all okay that he is moving funds about. 

THANK YOU DADDY!!! An answer to prayers from 2 1/2 years ago. A Breakthrough. I’ve had another significant event this week but I will share that with you later. 

My friends, our Lord is good. He is lavish. He is a blast and I love Him so much. Hang on to your faith. Persist in prayer. He will work things out for your good and His glory. And don’t give the enemy an inch. I know that ugly snake tries hard to get us to blame God for stuff he is doing to kill, steal and destroy in our lives and family. 

So on our final day, LET’S GIVE THANKS. Let’s thank the Lord for what He has done this week. Share any insights you received this week. Tell me about your time with the Lord. When we pray, we must believe and then thank Jesus for the work that is in progress. 

This has been an amazing week. I love all of you so much. I have stormed heavens gates for you. I have fought the demonic for you. I have declared and spoken God’s Word, love and hope into your lives. (Even if I didn’t have time to type my prayers out in response to your comments.) 

I can’t wait to praise our Lord with you today. I love you with a full and expectant heart, Lynn, a Sumite since May, 2006.

    Thank You Father for showing you are with me,I heard you and that means the most to me. I do not know what the future holds but i know you are in total control. YOU ARE ALWAYS WITH ME,& I know IT WILL BE DONE, maybe not on my time but definitely on your time. You are never late you are always on time! THANK YOU FATHER GOD FOR BEING AN ON TIME GOD, WHO KNOWS ALL ,SEE ALL AND CAN DO ALL.A big Thank you to all you ladies. Thank you for your words, and stories, and touching my life 🙂 I pray for faith for each of us, to know God is with us, He will never leave us, and TO KNOW GOD WILL MAKE A WAY WHERE THERE DOESN’T SEEM TO BE ONE. Part of my prayer was to become closer to God and i feel i had a break through on this, now i could be discouraged that i haven’t had a break through in the other area’s ( AS OF YET ) but for me this was GOD SHOWING ME HE HEARS PRAYERS AND HIS PROMISES FOR EACH AND EVERYONE OF US WILL COME TO PASS WE JUST NEED TO KEEP PRAYING, KEEP BELIEVING, AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD!     Oh Lynn that is so marvelous and so like our Abba! I was cheering alongside you as I read the blog!! Abba totally blows my mind. I’ve experienced so much of this in the past year, more so in the past months…loving it.
    Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians? ?3?:?20-21?
    I’m thankful to our Savior for the abundant blessings he has bestowed upon me during this refining season. His amazing love for me has completely changed my life…or more like given me new life!! Because of the grace He has imparted unto me, I have met and befriended the most amazing women of God. Ladies that I can call upon to encourage and pray for me when I am crushed and overwhelmed by my circumstances. (This amazing community included..Specially Lynn, Dineen and my Golden Joy ??) I am thankful for my church, for the many wonderful ministries and learning opportunities made available to myself and my community to grow more in our relationship with God.
    Though I am uncertain of what the future holds for me, I am confident and trusting in Him who holds my future. Jesus Christ!
    For I know that no weapons formed against me shall prosper.

    Breakthrough? Not in some of my “old stuff” that I long for and wait for year after year, but I believe breakthroughs come each time a scripture suddenly comes alive to you. Breakthroughs come each time your heart feels compassion for someone’s need over your own. Breakthroughs come when you feel surrounded by prayer and feel a connection with women all over the world who are “one like you.”
    So, what am I thankful for? This ministry, it’s leaders, and fellow sumites. You came into my life in March, 2011. What a change and difference you have made in my life.
    Can’t wait to see what 2015 holds. I go expecting. Love to you all.

    Bless you Lynn!
    I had a really helpful revelation this morning, that I believe will help many here – thank you Papa! In reading the Gospel narrative, in meditating on Jesus, and praying – think of Jesus as ALL Loving, not All knowing.
    And Jesus is the express image of His Father – so this applies to Papa too…..
    It is a simple switch to put aside our thought that He is all knowing, and replace with ALL Loving. He knows enough to be All Loving to each of us – no condemnation, no guilt, no shame, but Love, Love & more LOVE.
    Papa – you are Amazing! Thank you for Your wonderful love!

    I have been reading the posts everyday this week and have wanted to leave a comment but felt like I had nothing to contribute. Lots going on in multiple areas right now (and has been for what seems like a very long time ).I have read many of the Bible verses that I cling to in the comments; I have been encouraged when reading the comments; and, I have prayed for many who have left comments.
    I have often sensed God’s presence with me and have seen His work, and yesterday He did not disappoint. I was able to read specific verses during my quiet time and through verses that I receive in postings on Facebook and email that were very clearly meant for a couple I specific circumstances yesterday. There have been other times when much Papa has spoken to me but I am still amazed every time! Thank you Papa for being so personal for each one of us 🙂
    I have ben a part of this wonderfully blessed community since Sept 2012

    This week was challenging. The only thing that kept me going, was knowing God was working on my behalf and there would be victory. And I had to stay faithful to fasting, dig deep and stay close with God, and spend more time with him. Last friday before the fast, my family turned inside out. My husband and two of my kids had very negative and hateful attitudes. I thought this was interesting, and said no devil, I am not backing down. I am doing this fast and will have the victory. Then on Sunday, I got the stomach flu. I decided, nope,not giving in, the great physician has my back. I felt this was spiritual warfare taking place. So, I have continued. God is good. And I am still waiting for my break thru. My family took five days to return to normal, and I am better after 4 days. So, I have decided to begin the next step for 40 days into the Daniel fast. Prayers for me. I can’t wait to see what God has been doing!

    I am praying and thankful for those who were able to fast to stand before God for those of us that were not. May God’s blessings and breakthroughs saturate us all in the SUMITE community!
    I too have been attacked financially. So suddenly and unexpectedly from many different directions that it must be of Satan. I am leaning on God hard to show me the way in 2015.

    Thank you Lord for an amazing week with my SUMite family. I may not know them personally but after this week I feel closer to them. Thank you for that answered prayer Lord! Thank you father for showing yourself to me this week in many ways which was a major breakthrough. I heard you and saw you and felt you Lord and it is something I desire more of and for it to never leave. This was the first many days in a row where my circumstances did not overwhelm me for a significant part of my day and it feels fabulous. I trust you Lord, I believe you Lord and I feel such freedom now that you have taken my burdens…Thank you Daddy.

    There was some hard stuff this week to do with finances, and its still going on, but I KNOW God is working and is able. My page a day calender said for today, Anything is possible! I have enjoyed the Fasting and extra time I have spent with God, basking in HIS love! Yes, I still have the part of me that wants God to hurry and fix my loved ones, that wants him to do the supernatural things that I KNOW HE can do! Send that talking donkey, write on the wall, send Gabriel with a message to my loved ones, etc. In my mind that all sounds like a wonderful way to help instill the love of God in my loved ones hearts again, but there is one problem…God’s ways are higher than mine! He knows BEST!!
    I have been praying for the rest of you on here, I know I don’t get on here and comment as much as I would like, but know you are all in my heart!
    Lynn I love your story about your accountant, God does work in mysterious ways!
    Thanks to you and Dineen so much for your heartfelt prayers for us, for storming Heaven’s gates and for reminding me that God can answer prayers in so many different ways.

    Thank You Father …for all the closeness you have provided me and my sisters this week. Thank You for showing me my areas of weakness as well as the areas of blessings and the areas in which you are at work in…..
    now Abba here is the curious thing. You know I have been praying for our finances a long time. This is a weak area, and one of mismanagement for my husband. I know that you have been using this area to teach Bill something’s about himself as well of teaching me and loving on me that the debt is necessary for him at this time. And how this is hard for me…and I have struggled with wanting to go back to work but You closed that door. I thank You for Your faithfulness in guiding me in each and every step this year
    Lord….you know this afternoon at 4 pm we have an appt. with a finance person through Bill’s job. You know Lord that I have been praying about it for some time. Father last year you answered my prayer for a Christian real estate man to witness to my husband…and you gave us one not in Ca from were we moved from but one in Washington…. BTW Bill loved him…and thank you…
    But now as I read Lynn’s entry about her man, his situation and I am reminded that You once again are a much BiGGER God than I can imagine….so Father I don’t think it is happenstance that I read Lynn’s blog today…so I am waiting in great anticipation and excitement of what You have already done for my prebelieving husband and I. You are such a good and Merciful Father…
    And you reminded me the other day that You answer prayers but not as we imagine …
    Bill is excited to meet him…after all he lives in the same Podunk little town as we do…

    I have so much to be thankful for…God is working out so much…my husband, my prodigal, has been home for 10 weeks today, and has been faithfully attending church with me since his return. Just this week he invited me to start the mornings with him. Just the two of us. My love language is quality time and my husband has alway struggled with understanding this part of me. But God knows and he is so faithful and good to me. Also my husband after a little miscommunication between us thanked me for being his wife and for loving God. My eyes flooded with tears and my heart with gratitude. This from a man who just this year did not love me anymore if ever and never wanted anything to do with God. God is working in all our circumstances and moving in hearts and lives..Our God is so awesome and amazing and I am thankful for the pain and dark moments on this journey because that is where I truly met God. I was praying for my spouse and really it was me who had my Damascus Road experience. It was me who God transformed…it was me that God wanted to change and I again today crawl back on the alter and give myself as a living sacrifice…praying that God will not ever stop changing me, molding me, purifying me, even if it hurts Lord…do not stop. Oh how I need Him..I want Him…my words can not express really how my soul longs for The Lord. I am so thankful as well for this community, your prayers and faith have encouraged me to continue to seek The Lord for all my needs…I am so thankful for the body of Christ and how he unifies us..praising God and thanking Him…it is all for his glory and honor. Love to you all!

    Hello dear friends, it’s been a privilege to be part of this week’s fast with you. I have been so encouraged and have learned so much by each of you. Thank you for sharing what the Lord is doing in your lives.
    This week I got to know More about God’s faithfulness and Love. I also learned that I am to wait in eager expectation for what He’ll do this year. How exciting! On my second day, 6 unexpected situations came to demand our attention and worry. I prayed about it because it seemed like an attack from the enemy. That evening, I came across this quote in my book ” The Power Of Prayer In A Believer’s Life” by Charles Spurgeon, He wrote this:
    ” Cares are no use to us and they cause us great damage. A Care- full heart hinders us from seeing anything clearly. Cares are harmful but by turning every care into prayer then it will be a benefit to you. Cares are a result of forgetfulness of Christ’s closeness to us (Phil 4:5)” so I I wrote all the cares down and gave them in prayer to the Lord and His faithfulness never fails because He solved two cares the next morning and other are working out as time passes. Hallelujah!!!! (Read Phil.4:6-7)
    On Wednesday I came across severe abdominal pains that caused me to be off my feet, and being 9 weeks pregnant, I took that time for prayer and digging into God’s word. Naturally, I was becoming anxious and worried as thoughts of what could happen plagued me so in tears, this too I gave to the Lord because after all He is in control, He is weaving this child together in Love (psalm 139). I had an ultrasound the next day and all is well, I was overjoyed to see the heart beat. I thanked our Abba Father for this little life inside of me. Today I thank Him for all that’s happened and because He has been there with me every step of the way.
    Thank You dear Lord for Your fathfulness and love toward us. You never fail us. Today in Jesus’ name I boldly pray for salvation to come to all our pre believers, Oh Father, may springs of living water burst out of their hearts and begin to flow. I pray that if You are willing, that this glorious event may be a radical, Damascus moment. O Lord, that the scales from their eyes may fall so they can finally see You, the Great I Am. By the power of your name Jesus’ I stand together with this wonderful SUMite community and claim our pre believers free from the clutches of the enemy. I claim them Yours, in Your Name Jesus. We welcome and long for this to come to pass dear God. I have waited 12 years, some sisters have waited double the amount of time but nevertheless, I pray it may be in Your precious time and in Your way which is better than ours. In the mean time, would You please strengthen us in Your love and righteousness as wives, mothers, sisters, neighbours, colleagues and friends as we wait in eager expectation for Your timing. Thank You for equipping us everyday to be Your hands and feet as we live our lives. This year is Yours Jesus, Glory and Honor be unto You forever and ever, Amen!!!!!

    Happy Friday to all – and congratulations on making it this week! 🙂 I may not know any one of you..but the support I feel and knowing that we are all in this together is definitely uplifting and encouraging. 🙂
    Well, I can honestly say, I am a bit disappointed in the “results” I may or may not have seen or felt. But, I am reassured that none of my prayers are going unanswered. I didn’t do the Daniel Fast, but just did a normal fast (liquids only until sundown) from Monday till now and this is a first for me, so I’m definitely proud that I made it. (I spent the evenings eating whatever with my husband – who does not know I did the fast for us) I haven’t seen any real change in my husband but I KNOW that God hears me. I can feel God telling me that where I am right now in my life, is exactly where he wants me. And to WAIT. Harder said than done right? Even with the hardships of our marriage, a pre-believing husband, infertility, being estranged from Ryan’s family and health issues aside; I am so glad that I did this fast. Why? Because I spoke with God more this week. I may not have read the Bible everyday or prayed for long lengths of time, but I was able to think about God and pray throughout the day to him and it definitely makes me feel a lot closer to our Father. I haven’t really felt loved by God in a while and it’s comforting knowing that he does LOVE us, whether we feel it or not.
    I am so THANKFUL that he loves me and my husband. I can sense that he loves Ryan so much.. much more than I do even 🙂 So I will persevere and keep praying for my husband’s soul..and lift him up; knowing that God has it all figured out and I just have to let him lead. I am THANKFUL for this community – where there is no judgement, but support for women who feel so lonely and discouraged, me being one of them. And I am so THANKFUL for Dineen and Lynn, for always reaching out with encouraging words, stories of inspiration and never-ending prayer and faith.
    May God truly bless each and every one of you in your marriages.

    Thank you Lord!!! My son just told me he noticed the bible he got his father a few years ago was on his night table next to his bed at his house. Whether it was for decoration or just to show my son he appreciates the gift PRAISE THE LORD!!!! That is a miracle because Mark is so offended by God and anything to do with him!!!

    Abba Father sent me a message yesterday . Today it was confirmed in two email devotions. He told me simply to Trust in Him. I didn’t receive any answers to long unanswered prayer. He did watch over my son as he traveled for business. He did answer other prayers. I have grown in my relationship with Him and I feel a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. He is working and I trust that He will answer my unanswered prayers, someday, in His perfect way and timing. I will ask Him to keep me trusting and to not allow me to despair.
    I don’t remember the day I first started following Spiritually Unequal Marriage. I do know it has been a true blessing in my life! I pray that God blesses each of you throughout this new year!

    My fast has brought a closeness that I never thought possible. I find my thoughts drifting back to God every few minutes now. I can understand the Bible easier than before. It’s almost like a light switch had gone off in my head and it just makes sense now. Of course I still have questions but I’ve taken them to the Lord and he’s provided answers in the most unexpected ways. I haven’t seen a break through in my prayer requests but he’s comforted me with reminders that he’s simply saying “not yet”.
    This was my first fast and I am so grateful that I chose to participate. I have so much to thank God for,. I feel like I could pray for days, only prayers of thanksgiving, and i’d still have more to say. To God be the glory!

    I hear God whispering “in me you are perfect and complete, needing nothing or no-one (James 1:4)”

    I am a SUMite since 2012. I concluded that a 48 hour day may be necessary for me to include more of my comments and respond to your lovely ways of expressing your relationship with Abba and experiences. We will have that time in Heaven. I still want to go over all of what has been said here. What a holy meeting! I am thankful for this group of godly, supportive, inspirational brothers and sisters. We established and accomplished so much breakthroughs of what needed to happen for His kingdom, His glory, His victories, His people, His community; we got to know each better, we all got breakthroughs, and disappointments, is part of His process to mature us for Himself; I believe the breakthroughs come in snap shots, it is ongoing, visible and invisible; I am rejoicing over all the experiences we are in, Praise you Lord, for this week, for what You revealed to each one of Your kid, continue to position us on the offence for your purpose and on the defence, like an apologetic would defend your gospel. Thank You, Jesus, we so much love You and extol your name.

    Oh, Angie. I am so happy for you, I am crying tears of joy. My husband left this spring, said he don’t love, maybe never did, and wants no part of God. But I know God is working on him. Me? He works on me too, and I am free from so many things that held me down. Thank you Lord, for Angie and her husband. You know the joy and gratitute in her heart when he said those words. You know, Teacher. And you know the joy in my heart. Thank you, Lord. Please bring every other prodigal SUMite husband home too. They are in Your hand, as are we. Always.

    SUMite since 2012.! I can’t even begin to thank Abba for everything He has and is doing for me and my family. He has given me peace like none other. I am so thankful for this community cause for years I felt all alone. I’m so thankful how I am growing closer to God through all of this and how He ever so sweetly showed me where I needed to be changed. I now know that I am a better wife, mother and person all because of my Heavenly Father. Lifting up all of you in prayer. Very excited about 2015!

    Thank you, Lord, for the incredible joy and peace that is mine, despite what I found out last night (hubs is deceiving his girlfriend, please pray for him). Thank you for all these incredible women.
    I have only been able to fast 1 day so far, but I am planning on keeping it going on all the days I can, that is tomorrow and then on. Because I need God, and I feel much closer fasting together with you all.

    Church without walls…this community is indeed just that. We are a community of believers who have been joined by our circumstances…to uplift and encourage, to share our triumphs and our trials, to learn from those who God has entrusted to teach and guide us through this most difficult journey. We all have been chosen for this path, and we thank you, Abba Father, for providing continuous light for this walk that few understand. Dineen and Lynn, we thank God for you two, who are obedient in your walk and calling to lead us with effective words, Biblical teaching and strong faith. Personally, I don’t know where I’d be without you. But our God knew, and that’s why I’ve been a SUMite (even before the term was coined, I think) since February 2012.
    Many praises for all the truth you have revealed to us, Abba Father, for the strength to carry on, for the hope, faith and trust that you can do ALL things, and you can use us in the process. Amen!

    Smiling at this post Lynn! The even GREATER joy in His Ways unfolding in our life daily is recognizing His hand orchestrating all the moments. THANK YOU LORD! AMEN!
    There are no coincidences, only Godincidences.

    The only reason people can thank Karma is because God is in control of that too! (wink)
    Perspective from any other view than our Creator’s as He sits on His Throne actively participating in our life that He created, is pointless.
    Meaning, we have the Cross which is the WHOLE POINT to this life!

    Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterwards; and now he sits in the place of honor by the throne of God.

    I don’t remember how or when the Lord led me to this amazing site, and I don’t post very often, but I have been so blessed by you all. Reading what our Father is doing in each of your lives has been so uplifting for me. Thank you all so very much! You are an amazing group and I feel so Blessed to be a part of it. This first fast for me was so exciting to begin, and I allowed discouragement to creep in. Oh Forgive me Father!! I know, that I know that our Father loves me! And this is a breakthrough! Feelings of unworthiness have been such a daily part of my life and I would read the Bible and have head knowledge that God loves me. But it wouldn’t travel to my heart. Now I know!! Thank you Father for loving me and each one of these SUM members!! I can’t wait to see what the rest of 2015 brings to each of you! Love you all!!

    Ok ladies I have something to share! While sitting in my car reading Mark the truth of this fast was revealed to me. Reading the stories of Jesus feeding the masses twice I notice it specifically said he felt sorry or compassion for the hungry people so I began to wonder what is special about being hungry? Why does being hungry move Jesus to feel such compassion for them. Here is the answer I was given: Food is the source of our body’s physical strength while Jesus is the source of our spiritual strength. In fasting we give up what’s necessary to our bodies and God will replace it with an even stronger thirst for the one who strengthens our soul. Abstaining from actual food allows God to fill our cup and run it over with the Holy Spirit. While the food of this world has the ability to pollute is like yeast in dough, the spirit can provide gifts too abundant for us to fully comprehend. God has taken the little bits that we can offer to him and multiplied it for the good of others. Thank you God for revealing this to me and I pray it blesses my sisters as it has me. Amen!

    fasted from tv all week- had some setbacks and really had a hard time focusing (lack of sleep, attacks of insecurity in my marriage). I forced myself to write my prayers for the new year and blessings, breakthrough. I have been praying for my son’s heart to soften towards God for years, as well as wisdom, discernment, and revelation in financial decisions he needs to make with a car purchase. Yesterday, after speaking to him, I put it out there…I said I would be praying for him, I would pray God to give him peace when he found the right car, then the third time I said “pray and give it God”. Not once did he respond with anger or bitterness towards God. In the past he has asked me to do him a favor and not pray for him. I am seeing a change this past year, a softening. God is working. I am also praying for the insecurity I feel in my marriage to an unbeliever. Because of past behavior, (not infidelity)and wounds of my father, I have a hard time trusting men. I am asking God to help trust grow in our marriage, to help me break down the walls, and guide me. thanks so much for your ministry. I picked up your book about 3 years ago. blesssings!

    I found this group in November 2013. I am so thankful for Lynn and Dineen and their faithfulness to obey God in sharing their hearts. This week has been tough but awesome at the same time. One of the things I fasted this week was tv, difficult for me, but so worth it. I have had hours to just spend time in the word and be still before God. Two words that I feel God speaking to me are hope and trust. So on the day that Lynn asked us to write down promises I decided to look up verses with promises for hope. I’ve never done that before and I was so amazed at how many there are. Proverbs 23:18 There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. I’m believing that promise. Amen!

    SUMITE since around 5/2014. I praise the Lord for everything He has done. He has worked such a peace and strength in me during my situation that I would have never thought possible. But obviously, with God, ALL things are possible. My husband and I are separated and instead of feeling sorry for myself, the Lord has given me an amazing perspective and shown me what a blessing this situation is. I used to not have much free time with my kids because I not only provided dinner for my husband and children but made sure he had a hot lunch the next day. I also had so much more laundry to do and dishes to wash. I felt like I was constantly catching up on chores, which I didn’t mind because it brought me joy to bless and support my husband. But this separation has truly been a blessing. I know it won’t last and the Lord has promised me a brother in Christ so I can look forward to the fact that when my husband comes home, my efforts will be appreciated and, for the first time in years, my love and affection will be genuinely returned because he will know what real love is and he will love God, the true source of love! The Lord even put it on my heart and gave me the strength to tell my husband joyfully that I don’t hold any anger, bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness toward him. The Lord has also been making me more and more like Jesus, even through really rough days. He’s been working even more patience and joy in me, especially in response to my children. It’s been an amazing week. The best part is that I don’t even feel like I’ve been fasting. He’s filled me up so much that I don’t feel in want. The Lord is SO amazing! Thank You, Jesus!

    Thank You Father for another great Summite fast!
    Here’s what God has been doing in my life this week:
    The HS led me to try something slightly different in the structure of our days. I thought it was a little thing but it’s becoming more of a breakthrough: I simply asked DH to come play board games with me while I was cooking supper. It was so nice because normally we never get the chance (it is sort of scheduled in for 8/8:30 pm but the kids are often still up, I’m usually tired, and often he is too. Tonight for the 3rd night, it hit me, this helps increase our together fun time AND helps motivate me to actually make supper (and tidy the kitchen a little ) as I was easily able to bounce back and forth while being conversationally present to him. It was really awesome 🙂
    Also: expanded and deepened my word for the year: Humility
    A New and deeper Surrender to what may lie ahead
    A renewal of and call to focus on HOPE! (and His many promises too)
    A fresh nudge to step out and start sharing more
    A Deeper understanding of the reality of hell
    And one more: A Praise Report from Wed night:
    So..at dinner. I accidentally told my 3 yr old potatoes are French fries , DH called be out on it, ( French fries are potatoes..) anyway then chose for his analogy: ‘like saying Jesus is God, but God is not Jesus etc…’ !!!!
    Ok, honestly, this is staring to blow me away, that THAT is the first analogy to pop into his mind! Seriously?! (Plus an opportunity to explain that actually they are one in the same) but, SERIOUSLY?! He must be thinking about it more than he lets on…!
    There have been little spirit slips from time to time, but THIS? God is Awesome 😀

    So awesome to read through the comments and see how the week has gone for everyone. God is so Good!!
    Thank you Lord Jesus, for this church without walls, for all the ladies and gents that pop in here to be filled with your love and hope and to be reminded that we do not walk this road alone. For the encouragement we all receive from each other because of the love & hope you have give us. Thank you so much Abba for our pre-believers and families that we do life with. Softened their hearts so they see you. In your great name Jesus, Amen.
    This week I feel like God has enabled me to rise up in confidence and strength. I’ve spoke up a bit more and just been quiet when I wasn’t sure how to word what I wanted to say, or the person didn’t seem to really want an honest answer. It’s beena a busy week getting back into routines, but the time I’ve been able to carve out with God has been such a blessing….not to mention the ample cravings throughout the day gave lots of time to lean into Jesus a bit more.
    So looking forward to see how God moves in our community!! I am pretty sure I’ve been a Sumite since 2012….God uses Google haha 😉

    OK, the Lord just opened my eyes to see this week in a totally different light: this is the first week back to work from the holidays, usually it is the craziest, busiest and one of the most tiring weeks of the year as we are preparing for the students to come back next week. The amount and the complexity of this week’s work load, tasks and unexpected challenges and work travel are overwhelming, but the way the Lord enabled me to complete everything is clearly supernatural. Everything just flowed and my back was covered. I would have made a huge mistake with the payroll, but the Lord gently whispered and I corrected it in time. I had to coordinate several people off hours and they wouldn’t have started until next week, and the Lord made their hearts willing and flexible. It was the back to school week for my daughter – that was covered too. I even worked out three times and completed my BSF homework on time. BSF class on Monday was awesome. EVERYTHING this week flowed not to mention the awareness of His presence and His words. Thank you Lord.

    My thoughts are the same Marlene and I hesitate to post because I always have a thought that my break throughs are not as exciting as others. But they are and each day something personal YHWH shows me, tells me through the Word, His creation or through this site and others. This week has shown me to spend this year understanding my identity in Him and praying for changes in me that will reflect Him to others. Which is a change from thinking “Lord how long until you change him? ” him, being my unbelieving husband.
    Thank you all for your prayers and I will continue praying for all of you.

    Love it Lynn, He always gives more than we ask, computer genius, CPA, AND a pastor!!! Btw I would have went into panic mode too.
    Lets see this has been a crazy one. First I need to back up to Christmas Eve I mentioned here that my husband went to church with me for the first EVER, totally didn’t think that would happen. AWESOME surprise when he told me were going together the next day. But how that relates to this fast is the way that took place. First a friend cohurst me into doing it. I drug my feet and said no, he wouldn’t and I don’t want to get hurt and upset about during Christmas. She said just pray about first. I gave her the “uh huh.” So at church the handed out these cookie tins round and just big enough to fit a cookie and a round invite inside. But on the outside were the words “EXPECTING” yep, just like our fast EXPECTANT. So from the minuet He said yes my mind worried might be one of those services you wish hadn’t been THAT Sunday. Only it wasn’t it was probably the best service we had all year and he was glued to every word. Not fidgeting looking around, wondering where we’d eat lunch. Oh and the message? EXPECTANT!!!! Thank you Jesus, you ARE amazing Grace!!!!
    Then came a major breakthrough personally. I had made a post here on what I needed to annihilate. Was extremely tough for me to put down in print but the word had been hitting me hard for a few days. Validation, and how that and feelings of inadequacy has been a huge stumbling block for me. A very painful and teary day. But then Rose
    Swept in with a reply that dropped me to me knees in tears and in mourning for the Heidi that was under that block. The love that came through and the message of how God sees me has changed me I am sweetly broken. Oh it will take time but I know what I have to do, I have to find a way to love that girl under the block. Thank you Jesus for Rose and Thank you for Dineen too who also came in with big Love. Thank you Jesus for placing me with this community!!!
    One of my main sources “today” or inadequacy, is my daughters and the childhood then Duard within my broken marriage and the fallout of a marriage like that
